Why isn't sex considered exercise? Just curious...

**How could it NOT be exercise? If "cleaning, light to moderate effort" is listed as a cardio exercise, then hot sweaty charliehorse having sex should be. Tell me I'm wrong?**

    Probably because the calories burned would vary depending on intensity, speed, position, etc.

    I saw a show that said sex actually doesn't burn that many calories.

    But now you all got me thinking about it! I would also LOVE someone to wear a HRM just to see! And then post in forum so we all know. Just put a HRM on and move around like you would. LOL

    My husband suggested this, think he was serious. Must wear my HRM one time....just for research don't ye know!

    Sometimes I wish it was only 3 minutes, but if it's 32 minutes later and I'm a sweaty pig sucking on my inhaler, I would think some calories would have been burned and I should be able to log that on MFP!!!

    They did that on a show on Swedish TV, don't remember the exact result but I do remember they said it wasn't really exercise.

    I found a website that lists it and you can figure out lost calories and post it here under 'miscellaneous' or something.....
    will post it if I can find this thread again when I get to my home PC. :-)
