    My best friend set me up a xanga account 8 years ago and used this name. I thought it was ridiculous, and still mostly do.... but it has just been easier to keep using it.

    For those that have heard of the old radio show with a character by the name of Charlie Chan - that is where the "Charly" came from. I was nicknamed Charlie by my father as that was what he was listening to when I was born and the nickname held thru my school years. The "80" is the year I graduated.

    Mine is actually a weird story, when I was in high school, we had a substitute teacher and people were being silly and putting fake names on the sign in sheet she passed around instead of actually taking roll. Someone intended to sign as Super Man but instead signed "Supper Man." My friend and I found this hilarious and decided we'd form a league of Super Meal Heroes! She was Dinner Woman, another friend was Breakfast Boy, I became Lunch Girl. I added the "ie" to the end because my usual was already taken.
