Bacon Wrapped Scallops - Appetizer
I'm guessing on the servings, depends on the size of the scallops. The nutrition is based on 40 scallops.
2 lbs bacon (regular sliced, not thick)
2 lbs sea scallops (if very large, cut in half)
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/3 cup chicken broth
1 Cut bacon strips in half.
2 Wrap a piece of bacon around each scallop; secure with toothpick.
3 Arrange the wrapped scallops on a baking sheet.
4 Broil 5 inches from heat for 3 minutes per side, or until bacon is crisp.
5 In small skillet, melt butter; add garlic and saute 1 minute,.
6 Add broth and bring to a boil.
7 Cook 2 minutes.8Place scallops in large bowl; pour broth over, Gently toss to coat.

These sound amazing for sure0

I wrap a little bacon around scallops for the BBQ and secure with toothpicks. This prevents the scallops from sticking to the grill and getting pulled apart.0

* edited* I wasn't reading the entire recipe. Lol. Can't delete.0

I precook the bacon a little before wrapping. Otherwise I find that in order to have the bacon crisp enough, the scallop gets overcooked.2

This advice works really well for jalapeno poppers done in the oven, too. Bacon is crispy by the time the jalapeno halves are cooked perfectly and the cream cheese isn't dried out/burnt attempting to crisp.0 -
I wager that the entire recipe is a bit more than 127 calories. Might need to adjust the serving size!0

I use water chestnuts instead of scallops. Deliciously crunchy.0
