Who is seeing it this weekend? 3 hours of what I hope is pure awesomeness (although I don't like how Iron Man's suit has evolved into "non-metal" material. He's more like Latex Man now).

No, its starts with 2003's Hulk.
The 2003 Hulk movie was not part of the MCU. The 2008 Hulk movie is. There are a couple of different theories on what the best order is to watch them. The one his wife is mentioning is probably chronological based on timeline. Captain America being first since it took place in the 1940s. But I think it's best to just watch them in the order they were released, since even the ones that were released as prequels have a bunch of references that make more sense if you watch them later.1 -

“Captain America” is a code name, which has been held by a number of individuals in the comics over the years, including non-military personnel.
The most commonly known and popular Captain America, Steve Rogers, actually holds the rank of Colonel. When he officially enters a field of operations, all military forces defer to his command because of his rank combined with his well known tactical genius.1 -

Ok.
But why isn't there a "r" in Colonel?
Because they needed the R for February.1 -

I know you didn't want an answer, but I'm an English teacher / dork so...
Colonel is like a column-el, as in someone at the head of a column. That's the (incredibly simplified) etymology, anyway.
Not sure why the "r" in February... or even what February is named after. I DO know that that "n" in Wednesday is because it's Woden's day... wound up being Odin.1 -

Just watch Infinity War and you’ll be good for Endgame.2 -

Yeah, we just finished the movies over the fast few months. We had seen them all before but they fit together like a nice little puzzle.1 -
We’re going Saturday at 11am. I tried to go Friday, but Friday’s tickets were sold out within an hour of sales going up. If you message me with details, I cut you.0

Spoilers!
You've been warned.

I can't believe AntMan didn't do the trick.... it would of worked.
Also, thank you Marvel for spoiling your own movie by announcing a Spiderman movie before End Game was released.
Aren't they making a Black Widow Movie? I am not really big into prequels.
I think the biggest shock was no Adam Warlock. I thought they alluded to him in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (did some reading and it's actually for The Eternals, Marvel's next big installment). I still haven't seen Captain Marvel, and kind of wished I did before seeing End Game but it didn't seem that important as I knew the character was going to be around.0 -

I’d call captain marvel nonessential reading for this one1 -

I figured, however, I think it would of been more awesome if I was more familiar with her powers. I also didn't recognize her some at the beginning of the movie when she was in normal clothes.1 -

I think the mos relevant part of the Captain Marvel movie for Endgame was the post credits scene (which was made available online by Marvel). (Minor Spoiler)
It shows her showing up in modern day after the thanos snap to respond to Fury's hail. So you saw how she got there to be part of the team. Without it, she kind of just shows up randomly in Endgame and you're like "how'd she get there."
But I overall agree it wasn't super essential for Endgame. It just gave more excitement for the times her character showed up. I felt like overall Endgame handled her right. Enough time to showcase her awesomeness and to set her up as key for the next phase. But not so much that she took focus away from the original 6 Avengers, who this story was always about.1 -
Eh, it was fun. The biggest highlight for me was the Cheetos popcorn. I would watch it again on pay per view.0
