Anyone doing low carb diet not doing keto just cutting my carbs down xxx looking for friends and any advice TIA x

There is a group on here called "Low Carber Daily Forum" that gets a decent amount of traffic. There is a good mix of low carb and keto folks there.2

And my advice would be to remember that calories are what actually make you gain or lose weight, so don't lose sight of that! Low carb is super helpful to some people, especially those who find fat filling/difficult to overeat and carbs rev up their appetite. I don't do low carb at all, so no advice I can give of how to actually do it, but I'm sure you'll find plenty in the group. Good luck!5 -

I agree. I do low carb (though not in that sub forum) but I still count my calories. For a long time I did low carb and couldn’t understand why I wasn’t losing weight. Wasn’t until I did calorie counting on top of low carb did anything start to move. I was having low carb meals but with a 500-700 calorie per serve meal. Completely useless. Low carb is very good if you’ve got insulin issues or PCOS.3 -
I am on low carb higher fat and its working for me - my advice would be to remember to prioritise green veggies when spending your carb grammes and drink lots of water
but if you want to have a bit of toast, have the toast and count the carbs - its not going to end you !
