Setting a goal weight

Hi, is there a way to set a goal weight/by date on the app. In the goal section you can only select how much do you want to lose per week, but i would like to set my goal as: I want to lose this much weight by this specific date.
Thanks!
Thanks!

How many lbs down its your goal weight, and how many weeks away is that? do that little bit of math to pick your weekly weight loss goal, but keep in mind that:
If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal, and
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal.

There is not a way to do that in the free app. I do not know about the paid version of the app, as I have never paid for the app.
If not, can you set a reminder on your phone calendar?1 -
You can always calculate the rate yourself and set it in the app.
Example:- If you want to lose 10 pounds in 10 weeks, that's 1lbs per week so set that as your setting.
- If you want to lose 10 pounds in 5 weeks, that's 2 lbs per week so set that as your setting.
It's a bit of a workaround, but as long as you want to lose weight at a decent rate, the option should be within reason available in the app.0 -

Just to add, while picking a time limit is usually a part of setting a smart goal, an exception generally is for weight manipulation. You simply don't have direct control over the scale - you have direct control over taking the right action, but your body will respond when it wants to. And trying to rush or push weight loss to meet a time deadline can backfire spectacularly. You can pick a goal weight, and you can pick a rate of loss to get your calorie goal. Whether or not you'll see that rate of loss over time is dependent on far too many factors, some of which we don't entirely understand.

Target dates (unless there is a very specific reason for them) I feel are generally not the best way to approach this.
Firstly, you're putting an end date to something that should be a lifelong thing. Weight loss is just a part of weight management which should a permanent commitment. Otherwise the minute you hit that finish line you stop paying attention and may very well end up right back where you started.
Also having a target date is trying to predict an extremely unpredictable process. Weight loss isn't a neat and tidy downward movement. It bounces up and down. Speeds up and slows down and is impacted by everything going on in your life. A target date can quickly become unrealistic which can be demoralising. A much better approach is to set a target weight not a target date. Then you progress towards that goal and as long as you're moving in the right direction you're succeeding.
