Enjoyed being a fit vegan, but kicked it to the curb for gains

I went vegan for 3 years and enjoyed so many benefits, best skin of my life, best digestion, no mucus, always had abs, everything about my body just worked better. I enjoyed playing with all the vegan diets, high carb, high fat, and fruitarian (my favorite) but one thing was missing. I am 6'4" and being skinny fit is great for some guys and gals, but not all. I was usually hovering around 182 -185 lbs, which is not deathly skinny by any means, but when you're already tall and stand out, you need to feel as comfortable as possible in your own skin. So, I ditched the vegan diet after 3 years (I still refuse to eat dairy) and started bringing back certain animal products back into my diet, eggs, fish, chicken, and beef. I have been going to the gym 7 days a week completing strength training and do yoga 2-3 a week as well (they balance each other out amazingly). I usually go on a hike once a week that generally last for about 4 hours which is the extent of my cardio. After weighing myself this morning, I came in at 205.3 lbs. Thats over 20lbs of muscle gains in about 4 months. I used to dred leg day, its now my favorite day of the week and I do my best to get it in 2x a week (squats and lunges will do wonders for your legs and *kitten*). I can feel my thighs and *kitten* when I walk in a way that was never there before, and the thigh gap is gone due to muscle gains. Thigh gap definitely can be overrated. My calorie intake is between 3600-4000 calories a day. I dont usually do weight goals, I like to use the mirror as my point of reference, but I am shooting for 215 lbs and depending on how that goes, will then shoot for 225. Its amazing what we can do to our bodies, dont be afraid to dabble in different diets and see how your body reacts. I dont believe there is one diet that is the best diet for everybody, I feel that its more dependent on your body type. If you want to be skinny and fit and feel great with minimal to no exercise, I highly recommend a plant based diet. As for getting them gains, you can absolutely gain muscle on a vegan diet, but my success with gaining muscle has always been much easier with animal products mixed in. Enjoy your life and realize that you have the opportunity to transform yourself into any-type of body type you desire. It all depends on your own willingness.
