From Weight Watchers to Fitness Pal

How many of you have switched from WW to MFP and have success stories?

Needing to switch it up.

I used WW in 2014 to get the first 25# off and then MFP to get the rest and go from there. After a month or two of "double tracking" I realized that I would do better with more protein and counting calories than counting "points." But I found it helpful to start with WW - looking at food intake with a different lens.

Is it true that it’s no longer called Weight Watchers?

It appears so - guess I never caught that. Website is still the same.

If I am in a deficit I am losing weight and there is no mystery to it.

And you don’t have to pay anyone to do it!

Yup, I started off on WW and lost 90 lbs and ended up on mfp by way of the Livestrong My Plate website. (Ended up gaining 30 lbs while using My Plate but losing 60 more on mfp.)

Which for some people is a downside. Sacrificing hard earned dollars can provide some people with additional motivation. I don't believe there is a perfect system that will fit everyone. WW could still be a successful path for a lot of people. I am just not one of them.
