Technically a scale victory, but I’m a rebel so.... finally broke past my plateau and am under 200 for the first time in a couple years! Down almost 30 from a year ago, it had bounced all over the place for those two years, so finally I’ve seen steady progress for the last month. I am thrilled to bits. Nsv so I fit the thread: ugly work t shirt is loose20

Lol, you are good. I think many of us count onederland and bmi category switches (obese to overweight, etc.) as NSVs even though they aren't technically NSV.10 -
Apologies for “hogging the mic” lately with my cardiovascular NSV posts but Garmin gave me a VO2 Max bump yesterday to 44, I’ll take it.

I managed to do L-sit pull ups! Today my abs are screaming, but I still can’t believe I did it! 6 months of completing ab exercises and my back PT every day paid off. 1 step closer to the ever elusive muscle up.9

My nails are long and my digestive system is working again. I knew I was under eating, but I thought I had fixed the problem and was super focused on losing weight. Now that I am nearing goal I got my calories up a bit and added a couple of vitamin I probably should have been taking anyway all of a sudden I have nails again. Its nice to be reminded this is about health and not just weight28

My husband and I went shopping on Memorial Day. The lady asked me what size do I need. I said that i'm not sure cause I've lost weight. She went to the computer, she then said well your last purchase was a size 24 back in December, so we will start there. Cool. Size 24 fell off, 22 fell off, 20 fell off, 18 fit decent, 16 was tight!! I was screaming, my husband and I starting jumping in a circle. I was like give me one of these and one of those. I walked out $567 later happy as hell!!!47

my friend who just started crossfit said hey you are growing a new muscle there, you are starting to look like coach Amy. I will take it!17

This is only around a 4 pounds difference. And you cant really see a difference. But I can feel the difference in these shorts!!!
I never show above my knees bc I hate my thighs. I'm using these shorts as motivation to see how much I can lose before the 14th so I can wear these for my best friends birthday26 -

A very small one but I feel so proud
I made lasagna yesterday and it's always been one of my most favourite foods. I used to have 2-3 generous servings with two cans of chilled soda before I started watching my cals and embarked on the fitness journey again. I had been eating clean + IF for a week before I started doing keto + IF two weeks ago. So, yesterday I didn't even take a fork full of lasagna, instead, I baked one cup of shredded cheese with a few low carb veggies and chicken topped with crushed pepper. It tasted great!!17 -
Had a late night last night so slept over at my friend's house. She gave me a t-shirt and shorts to sleep in. Actually, she's probably 3–4 inches taller than me AND 20 pounds lighter so it might be a kind of NSV just that I got into her clothes in the first place, but the NSV I feel proud of today is that this morning when changing back into my clothes from last night I didn't run and hide in the bathroom to do it. I just took off her shirt and then put on mine there in the living room without excessively worrying about whether she'd walk in while I was shirtless. And in fact that's exactly what happened, but it was fine.16

Just ordered a two piece bathing suit!! Excited to see what it looks like when it arrives. So glad the high waist is the style .16

I was in a shop earlier with narrow aisles. There was another customer looking at the shelves on one side of the aisle. On the other side of the aisle was a wire bin full of products.
I turned the corner into the aisle, the other customer looked over at me and stayed where she was. As in, she didn't move. At all. I am used to people looking at me and shifting towards whatever they are looking at to give me room to get past. I was slightly worried that I would have to ask her to move but I comfortably walked between the wire bin and the other customer without needing to contort or ((shudders)) having to speak to the other customer.
I'm still not used to the smaller me. It's seriously weird, this whole spacial awareness thing.29 -
Oooh, and another! Today I got my best time at Parkrun for almost a year!
The cynical part of me thinks, "Yeah, you got lucky!". The other part of me thinks, "It's the 10k training you're
doing!"
Not sure which it is. Especially considering that the course was not the easiest I've done, it covered a variety of ground from grass to gravel plus a fair few "uphill flat" sections and it was blisteringly hot.
Need to mull that one over . . .19 -
Was doing sit ups and saw my thigh muscles flex for the first time. My mental body image is still much larger than I currently am, and breakthroughs like this are doing wonders for matching my image of myself with my current self.12

When I told my partner I'm only 1lb away from losing 30lbs. he said "you know, I'm really proud of you; the way you've stuck with it and managed it". Now THAT is worth a whole lot of happy scale days!!!30

Hubby and I hiked a nature trail over the weekend. Three miles around. Uphill. Several fallen trees across the path, big ones, which I.... get this.... climbed over.23

I had to get by someone whose chair was pulled out at a restaurant. I was going to find another path around his table because I figured there was no way I could squeeze through that little space...well I did fit and didn’t even have to suck in my belly.16

A few NSVs in one here, all resulting from my starting bodyweight training for upper body strength over the past week or so.
1. The picture - my arms definitely needed some muscle on them, although there is always room for more.
2. The satisfying feeling of shirts that are a bit tighter in the arms, chest and back for a good reason!
3. The equally satisfying feeling of experiencing first hand the difference between just exercising and training. My goals in this whole thing are to build upper body strength and one day be able to do a strict pull-up.11 -
Checking in here at MFP daily and getting engaged with some threads for motivation.11

I can see the difference. Wonderful work and great progress. Congrats!3 -
a couple...
1.) YEARS ago there used to be a "diet" type of cereal commericial on tv, that used to have a woman on there saying
"if you can pinch more than an inch from here (her upper and lower sides) you should ( start eating that cereal or something) to help you lose weight. WELL....I literally do not have even an inch of fat on my upper and some of my lower side-YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY! Well, I have wayyyyyyyyyy more than an inch on and around my upper and lower tummy area--gots a long way to go there, BUT to not have an inch of fat anywhere on me is thrilling beyond words, period.
2.) I got up extra early this morning and did some offical wee non-N.E.A.T. exercising (including walking 3+ miles and NOT to the grocery store, just purposeful"exercising" type walking and it was fabulous). This may not sound like much, but it's a HUGE deal to me and a super NSV for sure!19 -
size 12 jeans
sleeping is ten million times more comfortable
getting up off the floor is easy and can be done hands free21 -
I was putting lotion on my upper back yesterday and was shocked to feel how hard it was. I used to have so much back fat I had to do contortions to get out of my pull-on sports bra. Seems like most of the back fat has gone and by weightlifting I’ve built some muscle!20

I just took of my wedding, engagement and eternity rings WITHOUT the help of moisturiser! My fingers are thinner! WOOOHOO!
Now I can take them off when i do deadlifts!13 -
Guys keep hitting on me every time I step away from my husband! First at a concert my husband and I went to last weekend, I was walking to the restrooms and smiled at a guy I passed and his wife says, “Would you stop making eyes at other women?” Oops, I guess she meant me! Then this weekend my husband and I went to a festival and did the 5k there. We took turns using the porta potties before and after the race, and during the maybe five minutes total he was gone, three different men came over and started chatting me up. My husband came back and was shaking his head and laughing, saying he can’t take me anywhere. Since my husband and I go to most social events together I guess usually other men see him and don’t bother me, so I’m not used to this! It’s particularly flattering after running a race in the heat since I was the opposite of put-together, no makeup, hair stuffed in a ponytail.15
