I’ve been logging for 10 days, I’m trying real hard to not eat sugar and carbs etc....
I lost 1 lb - weighed myself morning hoping I was lighter but nothing, still just one pound. Thoughts ?

Ten days is a short time period to see results! Be patient and commit to the process. It’s a marathon, not a sprint!3

for weight loss there is nor requirement to cut sugars and carbs. both are natural parts of food. for weight loss it's about calories in and calories out. Choosing an extreme diet that cuts out key foods you love can make it hard to stick to "diet" for any lenght of time and thus hamper success. Plus if the plan is to go back to old eating habits after the "diet" you are likely to just put the weight back on.
1lb in 10 days IS great success. congrats. Your first post indicates you only have 15lbs to lose so 1lb/week is the most you should lose weekly and that should go down to 0.5lb/week in a few pounds.
are you using a food scale for all foods? Are you following the recommended food intake by MFP (with a reasonable rate of loss of 1lb/week) PLUS exercise calories?5 -
In my opinion the one key element the fitness wold keeps out of the. "eat less move more". ...advice. is "and give it time." time is the key element to losing weight. You have to let your body do its thing. Just keep making better choices...stay on your plan...start moving and being more active. In time.. your body will let go of the weight. Everyone is different .. and please don't let the fact that things don't happen as fast as you want make you quit. It will happen.4

Thank you guys. I need to be patient and continue to make better choices. I also need to exercise more for sure.0

That’s fine. But cutting out sugar and carbs is totally unnecessary. I need a half or whole cup of rice every now and then... or a slice of bread with cheese and avocado... or a few squares of dark chocolate.1
