I’m down about 20 pounds after 6 months of a 500 calorie/day deficit and lifting 4 days a week (zero cardio). I’ve been doing supersets and compound lifts with alternating set and rep schemes of 10/8/6, 5x5, and 4x8 on work sets, while focusing on progressive overload. Although it’s been hard to keep adding weight to the bar, I’ve done it. I think I still need to lose another 10 pounds or so, but I don’t wanna cut too hard as I wanna keep getting stronger.

    Great job, congratulations!

Compound lifts, primarily barbells I presume, heavier loads with lower reps, sensibile calories deficit and, [drum roll] CONSISTENCY did you well.

    Keep marching forward!
