I have lost some poundage and I thought my BP would go down. Instead it has gone way up. From 145/90 it was 168/98 at one of those health kiosks. Anyone else experience this?

Call your pcp's office and schedule a blood pressure check. I don't trust those machines

Those machines are notoriously inaccurate. Either get a home machine and use the SAME one regularly to see a trend, or find someone who knows how to do a manual (more accurate) and get it checked.2

Lots of factors can effect BP. Weight, salt intake, caffeine, activity, stress. Best option would be to check with doctor or consider purchasing a blood pressure cuff (if you can afford them...Walmart and other pharmacies usually sell them), do a reading first thing in the morning, another in the evening, and look at averages over time and trends.2
