The better you do, the harder it gets...

So last night I hit a milestone - 10lbs lost.

This morning, My Fitness Pal recalculated my diet - and I went from 1,800 calories to 'spend' in a day to 1,740 instead!

So the more you lose, the more work it is to keep on losing.

Eeep.

I was doing really great for my first week and have fluctuated since then. I think I'm back on track now, though. But that 60 calories I can't eat any more... That was my slice of generic American cheese, man!

i'm at 1,200 calories right now. and i'm sure it cant go any lower than that. :frown: but it has been really hard for me to stay within 1,200, thats for sure. i hope this gets easier for me eventually.:grumble:

but, you can do it! :drinker:

For your health's sake don't even think about going under 1200. It will get easier - it's pretty much a routine for me now-I have only gone over calories once in probably 2 mo. I was at 1250 a day and stopped losing changed to 1450 and I am losing (increased a bit each day).

Yup, you're right! haha. Sometimes it's frustrating to hear how some people, especially the guys, burn so many calories in less time than it takes me to burn half!

And don't forget. . . a half-hour walk will probably get you TWO slices of cheese!

I've so far not reset my calorie goals, sticking at 1400 because I find going lower than this every day difficult. Is this ok? It doesn't seem to have hindered my weight loss so far (touchwood!).

After losing almost 30 pounds I'm sure your caloric needs have changed, *****Kat. On the other hand, if you're still steadily losing and the metabolism keeps humming then I guess you're good. I think this falls under the "If it ain't broke. . ." rule.
