I thought this would be interesting to see what new activities/food you have tried since you lost your weight.
I found that since I lost my weight 200 pounds gone I am more daring to try new stuff. I'm wearing bright clothes more now no more hiding behind black and dark clothing. I enjoy the outside more and need to move instead of sit. I have even been known to ride a roller coaster or two where that never happened before.

Love this positive thread.
▪️we ride Segways on cruise excursions because I am under the weight limit
▪️bought a white blazer for summer. Have never worn a pale color.
▪️maintained my weight for a year
▪️walked five charity 5Ks
▪️maintained an average of 5000 steps per day. Some days are 10, some are 1, but the average is 5.
▪️no meds any more. None! Instead of five.23 -
I have done a couple of 5ks, branched out some clothing-wise, traveled about 20 times more often and visited a lot of remote places, National parks, etc. I have ridden many roller coasters, ridden a zipline, and gone to a lot more concerts where I actually dance and have a blast instead of awkwardly standing to the side.
Most importantly though, I think I have changed a LOT psychologically. I have better self-esteem and am generally kinder and less judgmental of others. I can handle stress much better and am less sensitive to criticism. For many years I would take most things very personally and imagine that people were treating me badly and/or excluding me from things because of my weight and that doesn't happen for me now. People still might be jerks but I don't automatically assume it has anything to do with me or my body. At times this has been a mixed bag as I realize there are other reasons people may not like me, not my weight. In the end it's all been great though!25 -

W W!!!!! Forever ridding your mind/BODY/and soul of 200lbs is a tremendously impressive and wonderful fete. YAY YOU, mega ultra YAY YOU...I'm so happy for you. I know I'm not answering your question, because what you have accomplished is so wonderful and excellent--you ROCK, period. Let me answer your question...ALL things are new for me and I'm so GLAD they are.5 -

Congratulations! what a great idea for a thread.
I've lost 26kg, trying to lose 36kg in total...
Since losing weight:- I can plank for 2 minutes now instead of six seconds
- I can walk up hills without feeling like I'm dying
- I've participated in a fun run - walking, but still
- For the first time in a long time - maybe ever - I've started wearing clothing that actually fits me instead of loose, shapeless sacks that hide the bulge
- I do Zumba every week. I used to hide at the back. These days newbies have pushed me to the front as they hide at the back and I don't feel the compulsion to try to hide at the back again.
- I can wear pants that don't have stretchy waist bands anymore - sitting down in pants before was so uncomfortable
- I always take the stairs now and try to do at least 10,000 steps a day unless I'm sick
- I can wear clothing that has a visible waist!
- I make sure I get up regularly at work to walk around. I try to take a walk at lunch time even if it's just a short turn around the block

I'm down with this thread I got myself a kayak for my birthday. Skydiving is still on the bucket list for maybe next birthday. I made plans yesterday with my grown son to hike up Pike's Peak when I get some time off.10

I don't say "No" as much as I did. I'm more comfortable in my skin and willing to try most anything. In the past 3 months, I competed in a bacon-eating contest (came in 4th out of 4 - not as big an eater as I thought I was!), became ordained and officiated a wedding ceremony, and began training for a 10k.11

I started to wear scarves! I loke the look and the choices!4

I am not done with my weight loss yet but lost enough that: I do not have to buy wide width or extra wide width shoe/sneakers. No more meds. A close relative had asked why my tops are so long and wide. So now I am wearing fitted tops (though don't like too tight cause don't like any bulges to show). My rings are too big. Right now, though this might change, my leg is feeling better, so I am walking a bit more (which I do need to increase). I am walking faster.8

Silly, but a few days ago my husband and I were running around our property with our dogs and he thought he'd be funny and try to race me somewhere. I hopped the fence without even thinking and realized when I got over in half a second how I would have NEVER have been able to do that 90 pounds ago.28

Did a 5k Charity walk... and can you say "Belt?" Never owned them, never wore them... now I actually need them.8

I've run 3 marathons, lost count of the halfs and 10ks I've also done14

I walk at lunch and on weekends.3

Run in the rain!!! I've also done a pretty steep hike with a 20 lb kid strapped to me the whole way and not only did we make the hike i carried her the entire way.8

Do bootcamp workouts regularly, have done a slew of 5Ks, competed in Camp Gladiator Games and training for it again, done 3 mud runs (2 Tough Mudder 5Ks and 1 Terrain Race), wear white pants.5

I've lost nearly 55lbs and began running almost a year ago. In that time I've run a 5k, a 10k and will hopefully be completing a half marathon in October.
I feel like a different person because I went from wearing long pants, tee shirts and hoodies year-round to wearing fun dresses and painting my nails bright colors (former nail biter so this is new, too).

I have worn close-fitting dresses (bodycon? Sheath? Pencil? I'm still not sure of the difference between dress styles). In fact, having never worn those styles before in my life, they now seem to be half my wardrobe. Now that my belly is so much less bulgy, I just love showing off the shape of this new body I made15

I love this idea! Celebrating what we've gained through what we've lost
- I spent a lot more time outside and I have a fantastic tan going right now
- I'm a lot more active with my friends now and suggest things like volleyball or frisbee golf
- I wore a two-piece swimsuit for the first time last week and felt amazing!
- I biked 27 miles in 2 hours because...well...I can now

This is great thread - I finished losing 125 lbs in April and have been maintaining since -some of my new experiences
Don't shy away from mirrors,
More than happy to have my picture taken - and eager to see them afterwards -
use to hate the way I looked as it did not match the way i see myself in my "minds eye". For the first time in almost 20 years, I am proud of how I look - and feel great!7 -
75 pounds gone with another 40 to go or so but in the meantime.....I have paddle boarded in the ocean off Maui, I ran a 12k and was not last, I can dead lift 225# and I am learning to let go of the sorrow I have about waiting until I was 53 years old to do what it took to get my life back (weight off). Those are my top ones..

60 pounds lost.
Started running at age 58 and love it. 5ks, 10ks and now training for a half marathon.
Jumped off a boat and swam with whale sharks.
Swam in several cenotes in Mexico.
Use the paddle board my DH bought 10 years ago.
Wore a 2 piece swimsuit on a public beach.
Celebrated my 60th birthday with a 10k run.

I go on roller coasters, I used to be the one volunteering to hold the bags, I am willing to try new things, learnt to swim, play tennis, give my opinion when asked, generally so much more confident4

Love this thread! I have run a half marathon, and placed 2nd in a trail race series. I can bend over, grab my toes, and touch my face to my knees. Can do a handstand. Can do real toe pushups. Learning Bollywood dancing and shuffle dancing. I can do a butterfly stroke without feeling like I’m about to die.
I wear cute skirts and dresses all the time now, I used to wear boring clothes and never show my legs. I also wear makeup and do my fingernails. I never used to bother.
Sunday night my husband and I were eating on the patio at a burger joint which had live music. The band started playing “The Twist” and the cutest older couple got up and started dancing. So we got up and danced too. And a bunch of people jumped in, some college girls, a guy with his young daughter, another couple. It was more people than I’ve ever seen on a restaurant dance floor in this town, people never dance here unless it’s a club. Anyway fat me would never have done that. It’s not exactly a new thing, since I used to do that sort of thing all the time when I was college age and skinny, but it’s been thirty years!17 -
