FOOD RUT

I am in a mega food rut and slowly slipping off the wagon sick of everything I've been making and frustrated and teetering on the verge of going back to my old ways.
What are some of your favorite go-to recipies? Looking for ideas that are not too complicated and have lots of protien. Bonus for anything I can add frozen veg to as fresh very expensive in my area.
TIA!

This would be an excellent use of Google. You can see a huge variety of things based on your search criteria. I typed in "Recipes with frozen vegetables" for you.

There will be hundreds more for you to peruse once you do the search.
Good luck.

Whenever I am in a food rut I explore a different way of eating. It helps me come up with new things to try and to see what I would like to add to my rotation. I recently started eating low carb Mediterranean dishes and it's been really great. I just did this recipe by Giada with boneless skinless chicken thighs and it was really tasty. It got a, "When are you making that again?" from my hubby.

I've recently rediscovered the beauty of stir frying. You can toss in any amount or type of protein you want plus your frozen veggies. 😀1

Wow really I could use Google?! You are so smart!....:/ In case you didnt notice this is a community where people go to get first hand feedback and recommendations from supportive people. Now go away and be rude and salty on someone else's thread.16 -

Ya, that comment was way more rude than the one it’s complaining about.10

Perhaps you can be more specific about the kinds of food you like or that you have been eating because you were not in your OP. This is a very supportive place but it can't read your mind and there is no point in suggesting things to you that you might hate, you are actively avoiding, or to which you have an allergy. The reality is people don't always think about using Google so I suggested it. You will get far more results than you will this thread and a far better chance of getting a variety of things to help break you from your rut.
If you don't like the way I helped you that is fine. I chose to take a "teach a person to fish" instead of "give a person a fish" approach.

No. Just ... no. The texture of what you end up with adding frozen veggies to a stir-fry ... it's just wrong.
Cook your frozen veggies separately (microwave or pot on stove), and if you want to let them mix with your stir-fry sauce and protein afterwards, well, you got to do what you got to.

If you use Cascadian Farms frozen veggies, you end up with a lovely stirfry, not mush. Not sure what brand your cat uses. 😛0

I google for recipes, honestly. I am not sure why you think that is rude.
America’s Test Kitchen is fun too.5 -

Me too -- I start with ingredients I have on hand or something that comes to mind as something I want to work with, and then google if no ideas come to me. Or maybe flip through a cookbook and modify.www.seriouseats.com
