So I went to LA Fitness this morning to have a fitness assessment done since I have been worried about my body for a while now. Turns out my body is in worse condition than I thought. I'm feeling very stuck/unmotivated after getting this news. Any advice on how to become motivated?
I'll write my stats and goals below:
% Body Fat: 39.1 current/20 goal
Weight: 206 current/150 goal
Need to work on my whole body, especially upper and core
Thanks in advance!

I try to stick to general rule, which is: Never get an assessment done by someone trying to sell you something.
Fat comes off wherever it wants, so if by "work on" you meant lose fat, unfortunately the human body just can't spot reduce.

You've taken the first step by creating a MFP account. If you have trouble motivating yourself I would suggest to start adding some fitness friends here on MFP if you haven't already. Having some "virtual" fitness friends to share success and failures might give you the kickstart you need to start your journey. My fitness journey/motivation started this past Jan when I looked in the mirror and decided that I wanted to change and now that I'm in my 40s I thought I better get started. I have a small network of friends on here, but seeing everyone logging their food and exercising keeps me going. Feel free to add me if you'd like.2

I’m 76 kgs (167 ) and my fat percentage is 38%. So.. you’re doing better than me where fat % is involved.
You’ve taken the first hard step. But those results would be brutal to hear first time! MFP is typically about calories. I’d get a program set up based on what you input into MFP and then I’d meal plan for the next month.
Don’t go crazy on restricting your favourite food. Account for the calories in the meal planning. In time, slowly reduce some of these foods, replace them with something else. For example. I don’t do rice anymore, I use cauliflower rice. I home make pizzas using cauliflower or sweet potato bases and light toppings (not too heavy) I replaced potato chips with sweet potatoes. Soda drinks with soda water small changes like these and you’ll find your appetite statisfied and surprising delicous. But remember, weigh your good, countnyour calories. You’ll

100% agree with this. OP, you already know you want to make improvements so keep going! Please don't become unmotivated because someone is trying to bait you. I read the title of your post then the first line and I already knew this was a person trying to BS you. "Oh you're very out of shape, but if you pay us $$$ we'll get you into shape!" Even if they didn't outright say that, they are still trying to prey on your insecurities. You're here on MFP and taking the first steps, so that's what counts. Just track your calories, eat at a deficit, exercise if that's what you like, and you will see results. I promise!6 -

So much this!
Unless you had a DEXA scan the body fat readings on most gym assessments is done via Bioelectrical Impedence which isn't particularly accurate and can be off for a number of reasons particularly how hydrated you are.
Weight loss happens in the kitchen more than the gym so focus on your calorie control. Strength training is good to help with maintaining muscle whilst you're losing weight, but you don't need an expensive personal training package for this, you can do it at home doing body weight or dumbbell exercises.

It's fine to have an LA Fitness membership, and if you are new to working out, a few sessions with a personal trainer who can help you create a workout is a great idea. Don't let them scare/shame you into anything you don't need.
Bioelectrical Impedence measurements are notoriously inaccurate.
I feel great after working out - that is often all the motivation I need. But since I struggle with depression, sometimes I have to force myself to start. And then I feel great afterwards.2
