Okay so I'm fairly thin but I am wanting to gain muscle and tone up more. So if anyone has already mastered this, your advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you x

Eat in a slight surplus and lift heavy things.14

Start your workout training, join the gym and now you need to consume more protein. Eat meat to build muscle because it contains more calories.

Join a gym and get a few sessions with a personal trainer. All the gyms I have ever joined have given me 1-3 sessions for free, and many have had small group classes for free or very cheap. If none of this is available, it is still worth the money to pay full price for a PT. Tell them you want to "lift like a man" and if they insist on giving you high reps with tiny Barbie weights get another trainer.

Women don't really need different programs than men. If you've never focused on strength training before, stick to the beginner's programs, I actually think there are at least a couple in there that were designed for women if that's important to you!11 -

This. If you are serious about gaining muscle, first step would be actually learning to lift properly. A trainer or coach will help you. A gym trainer just with the actual how to - a coach will also give you your macros breakdown etc etc.
And I agree with lift like a man LOL5 -

Exactly.. follow any random workout on Pinterest, and lift heavy to failure on your first day.
Sorry for my annoying sarcasm. OP, read the pinned post in the Weight Gain forum for the basics on muscle building, including good programs to choose from. If questions come up, you can ask in that forum, this one, or the Fitness forum. Or search the forums for answers.2 -
