I have the skyla now and I’ve gained a whopping 20lbs in three months due to appetite increase. I’m thinking of switching to paragard Wednesday. Any positive experiences with paragard?

I have a Paragard, I like it because there's no hormones. Had it for 6 years with no issues.2

i have had paraguard for several years. love it. it took about a year to get normal bleeding (lots of break thru bleeding while i got used to it and terrible cramping in the beginning) but you may not have that if you've already had an iud. on the downside, you still get periods. also, here in ontario, copper iuds are covered by OHIP. so no charge for the device and of course, no charge for the doctor. thank you Canada.
