Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I cheated on my keto lifestyle on Sunday. The peach pie wasn't worth it being kicked out of ketosis. Anyways, I restarted yesterday with intermittent fasting and worked out with weights for an hour. Hopefully I will be back in ketosis soon.0 -

Weekly successes and struggles: I've upped my calories to over 2000 calories. With my current activity level (high 4-5 runs a week, 2 gym visits) my current maintenance level is probably in the range of 3000. As you can see above I'm going to try and slowly raise my intake as long as I'm able to maintain my current activity level. Trying not to be scared of the increases. I know if im diligent the math will be manageable. I've switched from low calorie bread to more delicious varieties!4 -

Successes/Struggles: Everything is going pretty well. I still bounce around a pound or two below 130 (at 129.4 this morning), but staying close enough that I am ok with it ... as long as it doesn't start going down more. I really do not want to lose anymore weight (it is almost funny to read this and realize that it is me writing it!)5 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I did my weekly weigh-in a few days early, I know I have some not-so-great eating plans this evening and tomorrow (however I did drag myself to the gym at 5:30am today to make sure I got a good work out in, to help out with my eating plans), so I knew my Friday weigh-in would be up due to water gain etc not a true gain, so I just went ahead and used todays weight 😊 I’m happy with it, I was trending up a bit the last 2 weeks, glad to see things back on the lower end of my maintenance range.

Success(es)/struggles of the week: My last check in at the end of June was immediately after returning from a week away in a hotel. My “official” weigh- in on Monday July 1st was still high but the weight has been dropping off since and now, midweek I’m back to 48.5 kg.
It is hard to get used to these fluctuations, 2 kg between Saturday morning and Thursday morning is a drop of 4.4 lb for those working in lbs. I know in my head it’s mostly water (and other digestive tract contents) but it is really difficult to stop that knee jerk expletive!
This maintenance business is really difficult.

I'm really struggling to stay within my calorie goals, I don't know if they are just unreasonable. It seems like I did not struggle so much in the past and I'm not sure what changed, except that I'm watching more closely. Maybe that is it. I'm not going super over, so that is good.1 -

Successes/Struggles: Back into maintenance range. Feeling good with no major challenges/issues at the moment. Have a 2-week vacation coming up at the end of the month, so would like to be at the low end of maintenance going into it. Going to Alaska (not a cruise), so should be an active vacation and not be too challenging to come back without gaining much. Biggest challenge will be the two VERY LONG travel days (getting to Alaska from Indiana is not an easy task!).

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Trying to wrap my head around why my weight went up again by almost 2 pounds this week. I know I did NOT eat over almost 7000 calories over maintenance amount. My average weight for June was down from May which is good. I will keep plugging away still trying to stay around the 130 mark which so far is not happening. Had a tough week at work with my second job could it be stress?

At a place with fancy breakfasts ...I’ve had yogurt parfait each morning & loving it. (A huge change for me.)
Ate out the first 2 nights. Decided I’d rather cook. So, we are! Tasty & easier to track & better macros/sodium.
Began walking again after lingering illness on July 4. Building up the minutes fairly rapidly. Soon, back to the gym!
Struggles: None atm.
Feeling pretty good about things.
The turning point was realizing I love weighing 153 or less. Making progress towards that!

Successes/struggles: Had a third fall while running at the start of the week, which was incredibly frustrating and upsetting. But I listened to my body and rested and used the opportunity of a day off from work on Friday to test myself and managed a half marathon distance for the first time ever! It was hot and part trail so not a very fast time (2hrs 14) but I’m just delighted I managed it. The challenge at the moment is getting the nutrition right and balancing different fitness priorities. I want a sensible mix of running, strength and flexibility (yoga) but am not quite managing to fit it all in. Sleep also still pretty poor so a bit of strategic planning is required I think. At least work should ease off now and summer holidays are not far away!

Success(es)/struggles of the week: My weight dipped below 48 kg this week – an over-correction from last week – and I didn’t like the look of it. I caught sight of myself in the hall mirror coming down the stairs in short shorts and my legs were too skinny – all bony round the knees. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I need to gain a bit. I’ve struggled with my weight my whole adult life, mostly keeping it under control with frequent yo-yo-ing. Now I’m having to plan strategies for gaining a little weight but trying to make sure it is muscle, not flab. I think it’s called “recomp” here on mfp and involves including more protein.
I think @jan110144 had a similar experience recently? Of course, we are a similar age and that very skinny look is not good on mature folk – it can make you look ill. Similarly, it is even more important as you age to keep strong so you can continue to do all the activities you enjoy.
However, I’m away in the motorhome again at the end of the week so that will be another challenge to add to the mix!

This is an amazing thing to me. Never in my wildest imagination did I ever think I would hear myself saying I need to gain weight! I seem to be leveling out now. My weight does not fluctuate much, so my "yo-yoing" tends to be within a very small 1-2 pound range. Enjoy your motorhome trip!1 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I am finally having early morning walks three times a week (about 7 km each) and working out with weights three times a week. It may be the reason I lost a bit of weight. I may need to add more calories to my maintenance if I keep working out like this. I feel good and I am eating a bit more carbs here and there such as sweet potatoes, etc. I also made Keto icecream and it was delish. I will try more flavors. I initially put a stone on to come back up from 8 stone to 9 stone as I had been ill and the lose of a stone made me feel weak. Now back to 9 stone but the struggle is maintenance at the moment. Holiday season and social events are proving difficult, though upping the exercise to try to balance out.4 -

I don't feel out of control, but I do feel like it is time to set a few limits and be more aware of the amount of food I am eating. Took a day, but after a 3 lb up flux, I had the opposite 3lb down tick. Trying to get to 2500 calories as my trend is still going down, but I'm struggling a bit. I want to continue eating mostly my own food because eating out and from the employee grill constantly is what got me to my biggest weights. Getting another 500 on top of that seems like so much but I know it's just getting used to it.1 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I had a very good meal planning week, stuck to my plan.. but I had a lot of unnecessary nighttime snacking.. so that needs to get under control! Was a little bummed to see the 1lb jump this morning from yesterday's weigh-in, but I know I was within goal yesterday, so probably just some water I’m holding on to. I have 1 more week until my husband gets back from his 10-week training program, so one last week to really stick to my plan. Things always get a little off track when he’s around!

I’m weighing in a couple of days early as I’m away in the motorhome for a few days now.
Success(es)/struggles of the week: My weight has been below 48 kg all week, but I hope I have caught the downward trend. On Wednesday morning the scale was at 47.3 so I decided to have a rest day – no gym, no cardio workouts, I didn’t even do my abs and planks. However, I spent a good 3 hours in the garden – fighting with the ivy and brambles that are taking over the fences and hedges. Stretching up, bending low, pulling, raking, using a selection of hand and powered tools and taking heavy bags of stuff to the tip! So not much of rest really!
Well, I’ll be eating more while I’m away, so perhaps next week I’ll be back over 48 kg.

Successes/struggles: Weighing in a bit early as staying at my bf’s tonight. Think the week has ended quite well. Weight is slightly higher than I like it but I can’t see any difference physically or in measurements. Have clocked up over 28 miles running this week (and no falls!) and some yoga and circuit classes so pretty happy with that.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I'm catching up on two weeks as I was on vacation last weekend. My weight jumped up over the high end of my maintenance range again, but I've been eating at a surplus (planned) for the past several weeks, in addition to eating out a lot while on vacation, air travel, TOM weight, etc., so it's not unexpected. Still a bit hard to see on the scale though. This upcoming week will be a planned deficit week, as I'm not eating out at all. It's also the first week in several months that I'm not eating out at all (crazy!) so I can create a pretty large deficit if I want to help with getting my weight back down.5
