I started at right about 300 a little before logging on this app. Started tracking with the app at about 295 or so at the beginning of June. Down to 281 today. I have a long way to go as well, but we'll get there! App has been incredibly helpful for me.12

Good job to both of you.
I am definitely in the OR MORE category but I seldom talk specifics. I have lost over 150 pounds so far and still going strong. If you don't make anything harder than it needs to be time will seem to start just flying by. It honestly does not seem like I have been doing this for 17 months now. It seems more like 6.
I started a group recently for people like ourselves. MFP groups tend to fail more than not but I decided to give it a try anyway:

I started just under 300 lbs (a little north of 290 lbs) when I first started. I lost a bunch with an expensive program and promptly gained most of it back. I started back here in January around 275 lbs and have dropped to 231 lbs as of this morning. The app works if you're consistent, accurate, and patient. Especially patient. Good luck!11

I started in January at 382 pounds and I’m at 312 as of this morning and this is the most successful I have ever been at trying to lose weight. All it requires is commitment and a willingness to forgive yourself for those days that you falter. I’m also a huge fan of figuring out what food plan works for you because if you can’t stick with it you will not succeed. Good luck and know that you can do this.17

You are doing great .0

I wasn't weighing myself, but I was pretty close at the beginning of the year.
I'm down to 238 now.
This app may actually be saving my life.10 -
I'd fall in this category! I've yo-yo dieted in and out of the 300s, and I'm definitely looking to have a more solid game plan this time around. I think I'm making more sustainable life choices, but I would like to be part of more of a support network that gets where I'm coming from (and who are in it for the long term like me).1

This is what I'm looking for as well.1 -
I started out at 325 pounds one year and two months ago (May 2018). I’m now down to 209 - 116 pounds lost🥳. What started me on my health regaining journey was being diagnosed with Diabetes. My A1C was 11.5 and my blood sugar was 579. Once I heard those results I knew I had to get control of my life. I knew if I ate healthy and practiced portion control the weight would take care of itself while at the same time get my diabetes under control.
Today (7/2019) I’m happy to say I am down 116 pounds and I’ve totally reversed my diabetes. My A1C as of June, 2019 is 5.2 and morning blood sugar readings are in the 90’s. I no longer take medication for diabetes control.
I still have a ways to go as my first goal is 175. Once there I’ll decide how much more I want too lose. At 65 years of age, how much more I can safely get off is unknown.
This has been quite the journey and I’m very blessed and thankful to be this far along. My health was seriously compromised at 325 pounds.9 -

I started at 350 the end of May and now I weigh 329.....have a long way to go but I am determined to lose weight and get healthier...I am very motivated and I journal every meal....I need a few equally inspired friends to travel this road with me!5

Great job. You are well on your way1

I started (again) at 334 in beginning to mid april. I got down to about 331 by may and just sort of....stayed there. wasn't super strict on logging or watching what I ate and I literally never exercised. Got mega sick mid June with a kidney infection. Once that was cleared up I had strep throat. Needless to say I didn't eat hardly anything for almost two weeks, just wasn't hungry and when I was hungry it hurt too bad to swallow anything so I gave up trying three bites into anything, and got down to 327. I am now down to 322.2 as of this morning. Not the best, but it's something and I've lost most of that 5 lbs in the last week and a half.
Anyway, would love to have some friends with similar goals, to keep each other motivated and on track! I'm trying right now to just hit below 300 hopefully before October. My doctor wants my ultimate goal to be about 150, as apparently that's right in the middle of my "healthy" range for being 5'8ish. My personal ultimate goal is about 180, see how I feel there and reassess.5 -
306 here!2

I am starting my weight loss journey again. I am not new to MFP or dieting but I have got to make this work this time. I'm at 350+ and am trying my best to stick to my diet to reach my goals. I lost over 100 pounds years ago but I did it very unhealthy and eventually gained it all back (plus more). I would really like some friends on here to motivate, support, and help hold me accountable.5

Started Jan 2018 at 160kg (352lbs) and currently around 113kg (249lbs).
It's such a relief to finally have the light bulb moment in my head so I could stop trying to 'lose weight' like I'd done before. The difference this time is that the day I decided to get my weight under control I just started living my life as if I was a healthy weight. Now all I need to do is wait for my body to gradually catch up.5 -
I started march 2nd this year at 380 and am now 293lbs. All the best to everyone.5

309lbs here0

I started at around 385. I currently weigh about 150, and have maintained that for a year.
It is not easy, and I still have some major challenges. But it can be done.8 -
Hello everyone! I'm relatively new to this site/app. I'm liking it so far The thing that has been most intriguing to me has been the community and message boards. It never occurred to me that would help, but I think it will!
My weight hasn't fluctuated very much over the years - just steadily risen from 250 (18) to now over 300 lbs (at 30). Highest ever probably near 320 this spring. I'm sitting at 305 after starting on this site at 310 about a month ago.
So inspired by everyone here! I feel great knowing I'm not alone in this fight for my health!5 -
I started at 400 and down to 370 - its a struggle but that's why I am here

I'm at 282, down from a high of 320 and ready to finally get myself down to 140, so a loooong ways to go. I'm happy to support any and all who need3

Spent the last 14 months sitting on my butt, as that was the only way to heal and resolve some issues with my left leg and large toe. Suffice it to say packed on all the weight I had lost following my wife on her WW journey. Was not a member but she was my resource. Found it difficult to wrap my head around this and a friend turned me on to this app. Never counted calories before. Always just managed to “do it”. Am loving the app. Down #7 first week. I reweighed my self a second time as I could not believe it. Also intentionally back off between 300-550 Calories a day. Know this will not be a constant but off to a good start.1

Forgot to mention. Had regained 50 lbs I had lost putting back to 326. Lost only 4 lbs from June 1 to July 12. WW was not serving me well.0

When I hit 300 I told myself somethings got to give! I went totally vegan and lasted 6 weeks. lost 30lbs and felt great. but it was to much of a hassle so I went back to eating the same way, just tried less of it. That was 5 years ago. I stopped using the app and have hovered around 285 since. Reading your stories has really inspired me and I'm ready to start again!0

From 2014 till 2019 I went from 304 to 250. It's been an up and down mountain, but so worth it. I still have 70 lbs to lose in this phase and I'm hoping to meet that goal before 2020.2
