Hi All,
Weird title I know. But here I am. I live in Ireland, 37 Married, 3 kids and extreamly over wieght, I have recently joined slimming world and logging online, will try my best to log here aswell.
Why am I here? Looking for diet/slimming buddies to chat to and support. Maybe not just about slimming , someone who I can share it all with and them with me. I dont care about sex/ size/ colour etc. Just looking for real people to share this journey with.
Im scared my weight and general health is going to be terminal. and i cant allow that to happen. I have 3 girls Depending on me being there!!!!
Full Disclosure, I need to get out there what I am to be ashamed of it to do something about it if that makes sense.
Add me as a friend, let's chat. Ireland or uk preferred, but not essential.

Welcome to the MFP Community.
I don't think there's only one "proper" way to use MFP. It's a tool to help you on your journey. Some people like to use the forums and chat but don't track food. Others track food, but don't use the forums or don't track very strictly. You can make it work for you alongside slimming world, because here you can track actual calories consumed and there you're looking at points. Points sound easy, but it can be eye-opening to realize how "free" points aren't always calorie-free.
Since you're just starting out, take a look at this thread:

Never too late to get health under control! The human body has amazing healing abilities.
I think a lot of adults who want to make changes to overall better health, do it out of fear.
A lot of people on here have had health scares, myself included. I've also read through a lot of success stories and complete turn arounds.
The groups on here are a good place to find support, tips, and recipes.
Good luck on journey to better health!0
