I work out everyday. I train each body part ONCE a week, so Mondays I do shoulders, Tuesday chest, Wednesday back, Thursday arms, Friday legs and Saturday abs. Sunday I just run.

I've gone from doing pretty much zero exercise to exercising every day. I'm at the gym approximately 1.5 hours in the morning (elliptical and strength training) and then in the evenings I spend 35 minutes to an hour walking our dogs or doing Just Dance on the PS4/zumba from youtube videos. Rest days usually mean a leisurely bout on the elliptical, no strength training or just a long leisurely walk with the dogs. These days I try to do some exercise every day even if it's just a walk ... I don't think it's bad to exercise every day as long as you don't work out if you're in pain/not feeling well. For me, if I feel a twinge, feel a bit drained (as opposed to the 'exhilarated' tiredness you feel during a workout), I stop. My body lets me know when it wants to rest/a break from hard exercise.1
