What do you call the thing you hold your groceries in while you push it through the store? We call it a carriage where I'm from but now I live where they call it a cart.

    Trolley. UK.

Another one for trolley - South Africa

Northwestern USA here. We call the ice pop things "Otter Pops", and we call the trolleys "shopping carts"!

Ok, so I was at Walmart the other day and took notice that 2 brands called them "ice pops" and the kisko brand called them "freezies".

Is this another case of a regional name? Like I call electrical or power "hydro" and all tissue "Kleenex" and all cotton swabs "Q-tips"?

And, kinda random but it kinda works in this conversation, I have a friend who was born and raised in Southern Ontario and she says the letter "zed" as "zee" and calls garbage "trash"
    ...so weird!

In Michigan, we call them popsicles. I go through a case per week, as my demon spawn kids are providing them to the entire effing neighborhood.
