Hi everyone.. what has helped you as far as using the treadmill.. to lose weight? I know that with using the treadmill it mainly helped me lose weight in my upper body and lost a few inches in my hips..

But i'm starting to feel a bit sluggish with jogging these days.

Anyone on here do fast brisk walking.. perhaps on high incline and has success with losing?

I like to walk at 3.7-4 MPH at a 15% incline. It is my main source of cardio, sometimes I jog, sometimes I do the eliptical but I prefer to walk at an include. It feels to me like it works my butt and thighs more. When I jog every muscle in my legs hurts. They both work different areas but I think you can burn as many calories walking on an incline as you can jogging.

Brisk walking on a treadmill for an hour at a time worked great for me. Having music to listen to made it even better.

Try using an interval setting, with 1 minute walking very briskly at a high incline, then 1 to 3 minutes jogging/running at a lower incline. This keeps your body guessing and is not as boring as a workout at just one speed.
