I have amazing friends on here. But, I am wondering if more of my peers are making use of MFP? I am 57 and making great progress! Up for some mutual encouragement.

I'm 54. Started counting calories in my head at the beginning of July. My adult son was using this app and I decided that would be easier. I'm down 5 pounds since the end of April - 4 of them since I started counting calories. Want to lose at least 10 more.

I am 50. Feel great in my body, way better than when I was 20 or 30.

Hello, first post I’m 52, managed to gain 20lbs over the last 2-3 years having dropped 60 lbs 5 years before

I’m ashamed to be back to this point because I did so well for years, but I got smug, stopped tracking well, lost control and hit menopausal hormonal swings

Part of me wonders why bother at my age and the other part is going “I ain’t dead” yet (Terry Pratchett reference for those in the know)

Diets always start on Monday and as I’m on vacation and my husband’s birthday is tomorrow I’ve decided Monday is the day for me too.

I’m 54, have lost 28lb since Jan this year. 12lb more to go to get my BMI under 25. Deliberately doing this slowly so I haven’t lost any energy or felt deprived.

Slow and steady is better than a quick fix and you are not likely to keep it off.

Hi! My name is Karen. I'm 54. I am here to finally lose that extra "baby weight". Okay, my youngest is almost 12, so I have been putting this off for a while. MFP is great for tracking and friends are helpful for encouragement and accountability.

    Good luck!

Hi, I'm 53! I'm starting again. I've been back to it for about 3 weeks. Any of you can add me if you need extra support because I know I need help and motivation.

55! Just recommitted this week to focusing on my health and fitness. 63 lbs to lose, it has taken time to put it on so being realistic in my goals. Focusing on incremental smaller goals to get me to where I want to be.
