Growing up, my mom used to always yell at me for twirling the broom around. My son has been twirling our broom around using it as a “bow staff”. Maybe not the same exact thing, but my son definitely is proving her right about me someday having a kid and him doing the same things to me that I used to do to drive her nuts. 🤣3

I finally painted my kitchen today and then went for a walk down the beach this evening. Beach was beautiful but it was so nice to come back home and see my kitchen looking all shiney and new 🤣

My daughter, who is a senior this year, called me before walking into school to tell me she loves me. I am usually the one that calls/texts her, so it made me happy that she thought of me.3

A very sweet teenage girl that walked up to me, looked me in the eyes and said with a big bright smile:
“Thank you for your service”, then hugged me and said “my daddy was a soldier too”.
I wear a veteran cap to meet other veterans, not for a thank you, it was an honor and a privilege to serve, but her sincerity meant more than she’ll ever know.2 -
