why won't my weight budge !?

Hi everyone

I've been eating 1300 calories a day for around 6 weeks now and exercising 3-4 times a week burning 600 calories per session. Yet i'm still the same weight I was when I began ! I'm 154ibs. I'm so frustrated!

Any tips?

Do you use a food scale? Do you log carefully, everything you consume? How tall are you? That makes a difference.... and how much do you need to lose?
I’m at a standstill now too. 2 pounds from my first goal where I plan to maintain for a hit and then think about another 5 to 10 pounds off. I lose quickly at first.... looking back to 2015 when I lost the first huge amount, at the weight I am now it took forever( as in over two months) to begin to lose again. My BMI at the moment is 22.5 and my body seems to like it here. Thus no weight loss despite eating in a deficit.

I’ve read that since our bodies are not machines, we don’t lose according to a plan. I’m told to just be patient and the weight will go. Since I’ve got less fat now than three months ago, I’m not seeing loss like I’d like. Maybe that is your situation?

No and no to your first two questions...lol, have I solved my own problem? I'm 5'9 and i'm aiming for 15-20ibs. I do like a little treat after dinner a.k.a. an oreo or 2 (only I don't go above this), should I be tracking sugar and fat intake? Is this important?

Weigh and log everything you consume. The other day, I craved chocolate, which is a weird craving for me. I ate one dark chocolate Hershey kiss and logged it. 😀

Are you eating ENOUGH calories for your body? I tend to not eat enough. I have noticed previously days I ate more healthy calories than I thought I should (pre-dietitian help) I lost weight. Recently asked my dietitian what my goal should be. She said between 1350 and 1450. (I'm 5'6",45, 192, hoping to get back to 145/150.)

Yes you have  Before you change anything else, double down on accurate logging. Use a food scale for all solids as often as possible. Double check that the entries you are choosing in the database have the correct calories. Challenge yourself to log *every*damn*thing*. Commit to that for at least 4 weeks. I bet it will shine a light on where your problem is.

Treats are fine as long as they fit in your calories and aren't pushing out foods that will keep you full. I save 100-250 cals every day for an evening snack, I get all my nutrition and filling macros in everything up to that point.

    Good luck!

Absolutely everything that passes over your lips should be recorded, even that little piece of gum that you may chew. Only accurate data will allow you to see where adjustments are required. Good luck!
