I certainly don't know what "clean eating plan" means but for the summer my husband and I ate very limited amounts of proteins in our main meals and a whole bunch of fruits and veggies. I have all sorts of excellent recipes from when we were able to do that and we both lost a bunch of weight! Just message if you're interested

Clean eating isn't a "plan" or a diet- it is simply a change in lifestyle. It also means many different things to many different people. You might want to look at thegraciouspantry.com for ideas and recipes.

For those not familar with Clean Eating, it is eliminating processed foods for your diet, no white rice, flours White sugar, or products made from those products. You want to eat 100% Whole Grain, Fresh Veggies and Fruits, Very lean cuts of meat, chicken, and Fish. Brown Rice etc. Feel free to add me as friend.

I'm eating clean, still counting cals though.. Tried not to and didn't lose.. I don't have shakes or supplement as I find that controversy to eating clean... I have become more and more particular, my tastes buds have changed drastically, so far that I cannot believe I love celery and the packet foods I used to eat taste like chemicals... I also now don't like my own cooking that has been frozen.. Only fresh... I have lots of info for anyone who is interested...

Hey friends, I need some help. I want to make a baked chicken salsa recipe, but is there a particular salsa I should look for to stick with the clean eating routine? Should I make it myself? I use jalapenos and tomatoes, nothing else. Thoughts?

I think i would consider myself to be a "clean eater". Check out my diary...i pretty much eat the same foods everyday. And everything i believe is pretty clean.

My husband and I started clean eating last April. He has lost 20 lb without doing anything else. Recently he has stopped losing and goes for walks with me in the evening. I have lost 18 lb and FEEL SO MUCH BETTER! I sleep well at night, I am not sleepy after I eat and much of the pain in the ankles, knees and wrists has disappeared. Clean eating is a life style change, one that we both like and will keep doing. Counting calories and logging exercise time is my "dieting" thing.

Some of my favorite Clean Eating web site are:

    LOVE this website!!!!!
I try my hardest to eat clean, but with a family of 5 it's not always good for my budget....So I started changing one thing at a time. First thing was switching from white sugar to organic cane sugar, then I stopped buying store bread and started using my dusty bread machine lol. Use whole wheat flour or unbleached when I cant hide it (gravy is not good with whole wheat LOL)
Started buying honey for my tea instead of sugar, and also bought 6 baby chicks....18 wks later they started laying eggs. We don't feed them organic feed, but their feed is not medicated and we feed them table scraps (lettuce, tomatoes, bread crusts etc) Next year we are going to get about 15 meat birds to raise and freeze.

I wish I could always buy organic but like i said ...not always budget friendly!
Anyone else have any suggestions on what I should change next?

Here in Canada, Super stores carry an organic salsa which is considered 'clean' and its really good! I personally wouldn't make it (im lazy) lol unless you have time to make a big batch and can it or bottle it, which is pretty easy to do because tomatoes are acidic (low risk of contamination) you can keep it up to a year.
