How many times a week is it okay to eat fish. Currently I eat 2 cans of sardines and 1 can of boneless salmon a week. Is that too much fish, I would like to eat more.

Is it mercury that you are worried about? If so, here's a chart from the FDA on mercury levels in various seafood. You'll see that sardines and salmon are on the low side, so you shouldn't worry about those. Might be a good idea to limit your intake of fish like swordfish and certain types of tuna:

I eat seafood at least 4 times a week, sometimes more than one serving in a day.
Make yourself aware of which fish have high mercury or toxins and you should be fine.
These are some of the safest to eat. Canned tuna, salmon, pollock, scallops, cod, catfish, clams, shrimp, crabs, flatfish, calamari.1 -

Your profile says you are male. Last I checked there were no mercury advisories that pertain to men. Considering how many pounds of seafood I eat in a week I am hoping that is still true.3

Yes, if you look at the list from the FDA, the smaller the fish, the less mercury they tend to have.3 -
Your profile says you are male. Last I checked there were no mercury advisories that pertain to men. Considering how many pounds of seafood I eat in a week I am hoping that is still true.
That's my understanding as well. Most advisories are for women (especially those that could get pregnant), and young children.2 -

If you click on the user name here you get a pop up box with some basic forum stats. Then if you click the user name in the pop up box, you go to their profile page. What you can see depends on what privacy setting they picked.

OP, considering you are male and you have chosen fish that are lower on the mercury scale anyway, I wouldn't worry about it. Unless there's something other than mercury you are concerned about?0 -

Thanks. I don't see that second set of info for anyone I click on twice. Just get their name and photo and the opportunity to message them (and maybe add as a friend). No gender, date started, friends, etc. I'm using the Android app

Ah, on the app you can't see anything unless you are friends with the user. Sorry, I forget the differences! On the website you can see certain info on the profiles depending on privacy settings.0 -

Back to fish, I suggest boneless, skinless fish fillets. Salmon, yellow fin tuna, and cod. Try Costco or Sams Club.0
