Glasses on Guys? A go or no-go?

I really need to spice up my look a bit. What are your thoughts on guys with glasses? I figured I dropped a few pounds, might as well change my look up a bit more.

I have very good vision, but I'd love to buy a pair just because I like how they look. I love a cute, bookish gal w/ glasses.. but do women feel the same way? I really like these: http://www.lenscrafters.com/eyeglasses/14/burberry/6594162

    As a guy who needs vision correction [I wear contacts], the people around me know that if I'm wearing eyeglasses then I am either hungover or extremely tired. That said, my eyeglasses are half-frames [Ralph Lauren] similar to the Burberry pair you've posted.

    That said, I do wear sunglasses when in the sun. I'd say start there. I bought a pair of Rayban Clubmasters to change up the normal aviator or wayfarer look and it was a phenomenal decision.

    I LOVE guys with glasses, every guy i've fallen for wears them. haha (I dunno why, but happens every time)

    Glasses are super sexy!!!! I especially like the rimless version. It's just a subtle hint of glasses.... very nice :) I'm sure you're lovely just the way you are, but whatever makes you feel happy is great!

    actually my hubby wore pretty thick glasses because hes got really bad eyes,I thought they were sexy.They recently had to switch him to hard contacts though.

    GO!! I think the old school ones like my great grandpa used to always wear are awesome, they're partly black rimmed and the bottom is wired. Don't know what they're called, that or black frames. NO plain wired frames. I hate those on everyone. Yuck.

    Not sure. With the black frame it depends on how you wear your hair....you have pics of a smooth & rough style. With the smooth you might look a little too 50's geek with the black frames, but with the rough tousled look I think it would work. I'd have to see them on you to be sure. The other frame colors wouldn't stand out but I think the brown is nice too with your skin tone. Depends on what image you are going for.

    Idea: go to an eyeglass store with your camera and snap shots wearing the styles you like, then see which puts forth the image you want to project.

    I think if I fell for a guy with glasses, and later found out that they were just fashion-glasses and he didn't really need them, I'd think he was a fraud and wonder what else he was faking...

    Oh great, someone else has seen my glasses.

    No seriously, I had to get new glasses one year in school because pink eye + contacts = Bad. Yeah, they were trying to thin out the lenses I needed to fit in the frames which were those thick black frames, the machine caught on fire. I wish I was joking.

    Well, I can't speak for the female population out there, but my wife loves when I wear my glasses. I have great eye sight, and like you simply wanted to have the 'nerd' look going.

    Me too. I've worn glasses since I was in second grade and would love to never have to wear them again but I have no choice since i can't wear contacts. I never realized people actually just wear them as a fashion accessory. :huh:

    I wear glasses and every time I take them off when I take pictures or talk with a woman. I have never found myself to look good wearning glasses.
