I’ve just started running 50k in California. I mainly stay Keto during my training and have a few GUs during my race along with little bits of sugary bumps.
I run solo during training and haven’t met anyone in the racing world. I’m wondering if there’s anyone out there who I can compare nutritional notes with. I tend to feel junkie after a race and I’m hoping someone has a trick for racing on Keto too. What do you eat on a Keto diet while running long distance?

Wow, I hope to be there one day, but on the triathlon side. I think I ran myself out in the past and can't find any passion in just running by myself anymore.
I'd look into keto tips through Ironmen since they need to not only run marathon distance, but add biking and swimming on top. There happen to be some champions on the keto diet as well

Keto and ultra running! I was paleo and marathon training and had to up my carbs and even add in some non paleo stuff. Good for you!! I wish I could truly get to fat fuel burning, but it just wasnt working. (Ultra is in my 5 year plan;:) l1

I run Gus and Maurten 120 in bottles depending on distance but all the fat adapted runners I’ve run with still crush carbs on race day their body is still utilizing fat as fuel during the in even at lower body fat percentages. But I’ve seen esters in packs a lot lately and even on the tour this year.1
