I'm doing the anti inflammatory diet for 4 weeks as part of a research study into endometriosis.
I am not a cook......I'm lazy.......I have a slow cooker though.
Anyone have any receipes? Tips?
Anyone done it? Did it help?
Thanks

If this diet is part of a research study, didn't they give you guidelines about what to eat? There is not only one 'anti-inflammatory' diet, so it will be difficult for anyone here to guess what is required by your particular version.6

Sorry I didn't realise there was more than one yes I have a few recipes....and lists of food to avoid eat occasionally and eat
often.
My version is no sugar, no red meat, no dairy, no gluten0 -
Assuming that's no added sugar, what I would do is start with what you can eat:
Meats: chicken, turkey, fish, shellfish -- what do you like in that category
Eggs -- do you like them?
Any veg
Fruit
Non-gluen starches -- beans, lentils, potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice, corn, oats (sometimes other grains can be contaminated with gluten so you might want to look at labels), quinoa, etc.
Nuts and seeds.
Then think about what works for you as a standard breakfast, many find it easier to eat the same thing.
For dinner, there are lots of easy options that would mix a protein (usually meat or eggs) plus a starch and some veg. Something like roasted (or slow cooked) turkey breast with potatoes and whatever veg you like and have on hand. Or a chicken chili with chicken, beans, and various veg including canned tomatoes. Or a stirfry with shrimp, rice, and stir fried veg. Or salmon with lentils and some veg. Endless variations.3 -
Onions and blueberries are strong anti inflammatories. Blueberries are easy, in cereal, muffins made with oat flour, or just as a snack. When I feel the need, I make a big pot of caramelized onions, because I love them so much, eat them with everything.
Look at your list of foods you are supposed to eat often. Which ones do you love and how do you like them prepared?0 -
