Thank you all for your condolences. I think we're still in shock at the unexpected and swift loss.
I've been fighting some mid-night insomnia that woke me at 1am again. I finally reset my alarm for an hour and was able to get another couple hours of sleep this morning. I suspect today will end up as a rest day, unless I can get away at lunch.
We have rain and possible SNOW in the forecast for this weekend!8 -
finally got another run in.
i've got 2 5ks and speed demon and i will have 8k in fall
it was rough. it's been awhile. i had to run in my trail shoes because the foster ate shoelaces off of 2 of my shoes.
i let her set the first mile pace. then, i started to pull her back a little.
i was over dressed but i came from aerial yoga and had to protect my arm still.
hopefully, i can keep up the running and get back to where i was soon.

@Lazy_Bones_85 If we were giving you the gears in your dreams just imagine what we would do in person , no one deserves meanness, usually any comments are in support or if you know the persons personality - in humor. If you dream about us as a group we must be important to your physical and mental well being.

Aww. That makes me wanna make breakfast. Every time my dd is cooking that particular cat is in there either sprawled out on the floor, “look, I’m so cute. Pet my belly, if you wanna feed me, I might indulge” or on the counter watching, waiting. She loves dd and her cooking. I love that you spoil your fur baby.3 -
Hello,
I started back up the end of June and am learning how to run with asthma & plantar-fasciitis. I have done lots of 5k's but no 10 k's in quite a while. I'm getting to be more serious about running now, making it part of my day every day. My two sons run cross country, modified & varsity - it's fun watching them. I'm one proud Momma.
My goal was just to run for 30 min every day. I've mastered asthma, still fighting plantar-fasciitis. Usually, I'm good, but I broke a 12-day running streak because it hurt too much a couple of days ago.
So - my goal will continue to be to run for 30 minutes a day. I think that'll be around 45 miles.

I ran 6.22 miles this morning. It was another hot and slow run. But I got it done and I have met my goal for September. I played Zombies Run and turned on the chases. I did miss the first chase because it was too early in my run and I wasn't warmed up enough to speed up that much yet, but I evaded the zombies on all the other chases. I was running pretty slow most of the time though and just speeding up when there were zombies detected. I did have my fastest mile when I was running through the park. The high school cross country team was there again and there is something about having others running that makes me speed up. Overall it wasn't a bad run, but I'm really getting ready for it to cool down some. 77°F before six in the morning just gets old.

Looks like my running buddy, Hobbes the Vizsla, is likely going into round 2 of cancer treatment. He had a needle biopsy today with surgery scheduled when we return from NJ. Depending on the biopsy results it could be 2 masses removed under GA or one under a local. The good news it doesn't seem to bother or slow him down much so far.
How is Hobbes doing @shanaber? Has he had his surgery yet?

Standard 5km.
This was my 50th run since i restarted! At just over 5 months its been a slow slog battling lack of motivation, home move, job worries and a little health scare.
Just got to remember that my first run in April was a 5k walk because i didnt think i could do a 1/1min run walk.
Since then I have taken over 22mins off my 5km time and 34lbs off me.
Goals September:
13 Runs................................11 run
71km....................................58 km
5km PB.................................Done 1 & 7 Sep
6km PB.................................Done 1 & 7 Sep
7km.......................................Done 22 Sep

Another two-parter today. Just a two-mile treadmill warm-up before strength training this morning, because I hit snooze a couple of times. I then added on 3 more miles after work - after waiting out a little rainstorm. It was humid but the temps were not bad. Legs are still sore, I took a nice hot bath and am hoping I might get some sauna time or (even better) a massage tomorrow.6 -
I ran 7k! At 6min/k as well! Granted a flat course, but it's been weeks since I did that kind of distance. It shoes that conditioning does come back if you are patient. If I slowed further I'd have been able to do 10k! I feel exhilarated!
I had to go back to the beginning of the month to check my goal. I pledged 15k per week. I've run 50k. So I need to run another 10 to basically meet that goal, in 3 days. Should be doable. I'm working this weekend so will get up early for short runs. And Monday is a day off - we are striking so not working, support medical imaging technologists! So will use the opportunity for a run as well. And its school holidays!13 -
