I met this guy at work from another team, I think hes super cute, and would love to ask him out, but I don't have the guts, plus it's not work appropriate I guess. I'm kind of secretly hoping he might ask to meet for coffee or lunch or something...

Just ask the dude out! At the very least, talk to him to learn more about him.

If you're too shy to ask him out outright then you could dream up some office related thing he could "help" you with over a drink or two

    a different team ??

just challenge him to a arm wrestling contest.... the loser buys coffee.

or just make a bet with him that you know that you'll lose..... like:

"I bet you lunch out that Michael J. Fox was in the first three Star Wars Films."

..... or ask him to do a favor for you.... if he's willing to do a favor for you, he will be convincing himself that he likes you ( on some level / start small ).

    * I usually charge a lot of money for this kind of advices.

Ask him! The worst thing he can say is no.

If dating co-workers is specifically against work policy then don't do it, unless you have other employment opportunities.

If not, then I agree with just talking to him and ask him out if you want.

Have you tried flirting with him first? I'd do that first and make your decision based on his response to your flirting.

Be confident in yourself & go after what you want; ask him out. If he says no- then it’s his loss!! Life is too short to not take chances!!

Corner him in the break room while panting heavily. We like that.

    I can attest to that

Do you even know if he's in a relationship?

Ask him! The worst thing he can say is no.

... actually the worst thing is that he would become deeply, deeply offended and report her, in a fit of tears, to the Human Resources Department.

(.... or he might say 'yes!'.)

..... unless he's married, this shouldn't be an upfront concern.

Hmmm work romance can be tricky. I know it is how a lot of people meet but it is also a potential recipe for drama.

So far I've been to chicken to say anything - let's see what the future holds. I don't want to risk offending anyone at work
