How do I gain weight / muscle?? I’ve started going to the gym however i’m unsure as to what I should be doing

I gained weight eating late at night
But the Rock eats 6 meals a day!
I found eating once at night caused me to gain weight even though I ate less than 1800 a day!
I saw a body builder who ate once a day doing cyclic fasting the rest of the day, he was ripped!1
