It's not safe. It's another fad diet. It's been linked to kidney and cardiovascular issues. You can't do it long-term because it eliminates too many healthy foods.
I prefer the LyndaBSS diet. I eat all the foods I love. I stay in a calorie deficit. I lose weight. And I don't have to pay anyone for a book, or meal replacements. I only have to pay my local grocery store, where I buy fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, seafood, eggs and cheese. Oh, and this is a sustainable way of eating that I can do for the rest of my life.
Stick with mfp. Period.31 -
You don’t need a special diet. Read the sticky posts at the top of this page, set up MFP stats, and weigh & log all your food.11

It sounds gross to me, and I would not likely be able to stick to it for very long. Phase 2...only meat and veggies and oat bran (gag) for a year??? No thank you.8

What is it about this diet that appeals to you?3

Don't do it. The diet carries serious potential health risks and long term has not been proven to be effective. The British NHS listed it as their "number one celebrity fad diet to avoid" several years ago.5

99% of the time, diets only need names if someone is trying to market them as a magic bullet or miracle fix, all designed to lighten your wallet rather than your waste line.9

I read this as "Dunkin" diet and was fully prepared to commit myself to that.34

I was about to dismiss it, but then I read that you can have unlimited quantities of kosher hot dogs ...9

When I first glanced at this feed - I thought it said "Dunkin' Diet." I got all excited....LOL8

Don't know about Dukan, but I'm on day 7 of the 9-day Egg Diet. I haven't lost any weight, but man can I cross the road now.18

You may be thinking of Robert Atkins https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Atkins_(physician)2 -
I met a lady who loved it. She lost, gained, lost, gained weight a lot. She always started with 3 days of the Dukan diet. She said it was easy peasy to stick to any diet after that. I guess whatever floats your boat.1

"Sticking to a diet" implies a short term strategy......so the losing and re-gaining thing pretty much comes with the territory3 -

I just don't get these so called "diets"! MFP and even accepted aids long before it was ever conceived were based entirely on common sense approaches to diet, nutrition and exercise altered only by medical neccessity. How so many miss that is boggling to me.2
