Ok I tried this a couple of weeks ago and I’m even heavier now.
Weight:280lbs
Height: 5ft ft 8/9
Waist 57 inches
Age 24
How is my health, I’m worried I’ve become overweight.
I used to weigh 150/60 lbs just a few years ago but I can’t stop eating mcdonalds, KFC and all manner of junk food for every meal, it’s almost like I’m addicted and I don’t know what to do.

hate to break it to you, but you are obese, and almost morbidly. I was 280 lbs and am 6'1" and was extremely obese and only about 25 from being morbidly. i'm down 73 plus lbs. the reason I stopped fast food is because I too was addicted to it and it made me feel horrible. it's up to you to stop and start changing your life. Im 54, if I can do it , you can.9

Welcome to the community!
If you haven't already, read the stickies at the top of the getting started forum. Very informative and helpful.
This is about a lifestyle change.
Buy a food scale. Weigh everything you eat and log into the food diary.
Good luck with your journey!5 -
I felt the same way last year. totally hopeless and addicted to eating fast food and restaurant food. It doesn’t have to last! A year later, I’ve lost 100 lbs and have totally changed my relationship with food.
Your first step is to find a cognitive behavioral therapist who preferably has experience counseling people with disordered eating. They can help you identify the roots of your eating behaviors and help you create small and lasting changes towards a healthier habits and a healthier mindset.
Help is there for you! You have the power to change, and you will start feeling better soon. Just take the first step.14 -
You’re only 24! You’re overweight now, but if you start now to put yourself on a healthy path, you’re going to be so much better off in 6 months or a year. Start logging all your food. Change one thing, than another. Build new habits. Move more. Eat less. You can do this mate!4

You are already here, you know the situation is serious, you know you are class 3 obese which, as @nighthawk584 says, is close to morbidly obese.
@gallicinvasion has good advice on the cognitive behavioral therapist.
To put is simply what do you want most? If you are significantly overweight and want to lose weight you can. What you need to decide is do you want to save your life more than you want junk food? If you really and genuinely do you will make the change.5 -
Hi! We’re the same height and almost the same starting weight. I lost 125 lbs and have been at healthy weight for two years now. You can do it too!
Fast food isn’t really addictive, but it can feel addictive because it’s very palatable and not very satiating. The way to break the fast food habit is to make other plans. Buy and prepare other food ahead of time and make it easy for yourself. Change the habits that make it easy to go to fast food places - in my case I actually changed the road I took home every day so it wouldn’t take me past the places I used to stop. If you tend to overeat while doing a certain activity, or with certain friends, or while bored, change those habits so you aren’t able to eat during them.
Good luck to you!10 -
There's some good advice here and you'll find lots of help in the forums too.
If it were me I would start with small changes and build it up.
If you really do eat it for every meal then perhaps swap one meal for something else, maybe fruit and yoghurt for breakfast?
Or try a swap so instead of fries have fruit, or wrap instead of burger, water instead of fizzy drinks.
Set out a plan to get to 1 meal a day, then have days without any at all, moving on to alternate days - you get where I'm going with this.
You could of course just stop eating it completely but you might feel deprived and slip back into your old ways.
Everyone is different so you need to decide what route is the best for you, but it's definitely possible with a plan and some determination.

When you go to a fast food place, order off the “dollar” or “cheap” menu. 1 main item and 1 fry. These are usually the smallest options they carry. It will give you the satisfaction but not the heavy calories of the full size meals. I know it won’t completely solve the issues, but it’s a start. I use to eat a lot of candy. I manage a store with checkout lane candy. I started breaking it in half and giving the other half to the closest employee. Eventually I stopped seeing the point behind buying it and stopped. Maybe the same effect will happen with changing how you buy food at a fast food joint.
Good Luck.6 -
i eat at mcdonalds a lot, eat eggs and bacon or burgers without bread, I do low carb. I got my weight down. I worked on some emotional issues also, finding pleasure in stuff other than food. I learned to take care of myself and be around loving people and eat healthy 80% of the time. I find people who make me feel good about myself and I choose foods that make me feel good about myself. You can do this.2

When I was about that age I was also about that size with similar habits. I kept on with those habits and getting heavier for another 14 years. You've done well to arrest that progress.2
