I wasn't sure where exactly I should post this, so I just picked one LOL. I have a bad cold, and I was just wondering if anyone out there has some home remedies that help with a sore throat? I don't like hot tea, and I know a lot of people drink hot tea and honey to help, but I just can't do it. I have had a glass of orange juice so far today, and am out of my cold medicine and can't get to the store until tomorrow. So....any home remedies that really work? Much thanks!

LOTS of fluids. I also take a really hot shower for at least 20 minutes and breathe in the steam as deeply as possible. It really helps to clear everything out so it doesn't keep dripping down your throat and causing the soreness (gross, right?). Netti (sp?) pots also work to clear out the sinuses.0

Best at home remedy for cold and flu symptoms: 2 Shots whiskey, 1/2 shot lemon juice, 1-2 tbls honey, all in a mug of hot water. Awesome for colds and flu symptoms.
Note I said "At home" because you shouldn't drive afterwards.0
