How many of you are in pain?

So I am 32 and a few pounds short of obesity. Every morning I wake up so stiff I can barely move. I hobble up the stairs to the bathroom like an old man, my feet aching and my knees stiff. Even after sitting on the couch for an hour, I am just incapacitated. Yoga doesn't help and neither does aspirin. I do bicycle 7 miles a day, but I would like to increase my exercise if only it didn't take so much effort just to get off the couch and walk up the stairs. Any ideas? I'm hurtin'!

I was told ice my joints immediately after workouts. I bought ice packs with velcro they wrap around my knees and ankle. I would leave it for 15-20 minutes after your workout you will feel much better. They have them at Walmart and Walgreens they are great!

PHENOCANE......It's a natural herb combination available at your local Health Food Store...It has Turmerick and Cummin in it, and will not adversely affect any other medications that you may be on....I take it for nerve pain and back spasms....I've had fibromyalgia for over 14 years and this is the first time that I DON'T ache when I get out of bed....Just don't purchase it on eBay, because I did once thinking that I was saving a bundle, and it turned out to be boot legged stuff....Runs about $28.00 dollars for 60 capsules, and I take 2 per day once in the morning, and once at bedtime....Good luck..!!.. :flowerforyou:

I wake up in a lot of pain every day. My back and feet hurt worse that any other part of my body, usually. I have started doing stretches recommended for heel spurs before I even get out of bed in the morning....unless I have to run to the restroom, then I do them right after I get up. The stretches really help some.
Get a towel and put it around your foot. Pull on both ends of the towel letting your ankle relax so your foot stretches towards you.
I know you said yoga doesn't help, but maybe you could just try a couple of back twists/stretches when you first get up to get your muscles moving, and hopefully feeling a little better.
Lye on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor a foot or so apart. let your knees fall to the right, then left several times. try doing the same thing with your feet in the air. This will give your lower back a good message. hug your knees to your chest and roll around on your back. That one is my favorite.
I hope these suggestions help you some!!

Have you seen a doctor about this? I have fibromyalgia, so I'm in pain just about all day every day. It's to the point where I barely notice it. One thing that helps me is green tea. Don't know why, but it does, so I always keep a case of it sitting around for when I'm in extra pain. I'd give it a shot. I also found out a year and a half ago that I have high inflammation and had a Vitamin D deficiency. I felt a lot better after taking some prescription strength anti-inflammatories and a course of potent Vitamin D (by prescription, of course). I'd definitely make an appointment. There could be hundred of different causes, and you'll get a lot of variety in answers on here, so get some blood-work done and maybe get your MD to send you to a pain specialist :) Good luck and keep us posted :)

As the weight starts to come off it gets easier, the pain lessens. Just stick to it, make sure you stretch very well after exercising too, it helps a ton. My knees used to just be killing afterwards but now I can run and do stairs pain free  Before the weight came off, stretching was my saviour.

I have all sorts of low level crap going on in my body - pain, fatigue, random low blood sugar attacks, etc. I try not to let it bother me. Seeing a new doctor in a couple weeks.
