Serves: 6
3 teaspoons Olive Oil, plus more for greasing foil-lined pan
6 cloves of garlic, pressed
8 teaspoons brown sugar
3 chicken breasts, halved
Heat Oven to 500 degrees. Line shallow roasting pan or baking sheet with edges with foil. Heat oil in pan and add garlic until softened (be careful not to burn!). Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar. Place chicken on foiled pan, covering with garlic mixture. Bake 15 minutes or until chicken is cooked.
Only 200 calories!
Serve with roasted red skin potatoes or brown rice. Baked carrots or steamed broccoli would go nice as well.
Enjoy~!

Sounds yummy!
I was almost going to make a chicken simmered in mushroom soup with wild rice. I think I could double this up, and use the leftover chicken for my chicken and rice thingy!0 -
Sounds yummy and easy to make. 2 of my favorite things. Thanks0

Betcha it would be good with honey instead of brown sugar (for variation).
Thanks!0 -
500 degrees is way too high to cook chicken basted in sugar. The outside will be cooked to a cinder and the inside will be raw.
I'd cook it at 350 and finish it under the broiler if you want a sugar crackled skin...0 -
I want to try this! This sounds great!0

Sounds good... worried about the 500 degrees though... I don't think I've ever cooked anything that high!0

Light brown or dark brown sugar?0
-
Light brown sugar. I got the recipe from a Saving Dinner cookbook, and 500 is what is said. Maybe 450 for 20-25 instead?0
