Going over daily calories

I have been on this site for a month and have lost 14.6 pounds my daily goal is 1200 is it alright if I eat like 1400 calories today not eating junk just eating a bit more coleslaw and maybe an extra pork chop or something but don't want to screw up my progress

You are losing too quickly. You can adjust your activity level, which is likely higher than sedentary. Or lower your loss rate to 1 lb a week. Or adjust your calories to a higher amount yourself.

Once you do one of those, your target calories will rise and your weight loss will slow to a safer rate.

    Take care!

Without knowing your stats it is impossible to say what calories will help you with your goal. In general, eating 200 calories more in 1 day is not going to change anything. And for weight loss, the calories are what matters not healthy or "junk" - those matter for overall health and nutrition.

My guess is that you may be eating too little anyway. Take a look at this chart and make sure you set up your MFP profile correctly. Also, please remember that MFP intends for you to eat back calories gained from exercise.

What is your starting weight, goal weight, and height? It sounds like you may have selected an overly aggressive rate of loss for your stats.

With 57 pounds to lose, I’d recommend setting MFP for a 1 lb/week rate of loss. See if that gives you more than a 1200 calorie allowance.
