Quick Protein Snacks

I'm a really snacky person. I eat my breakfast in at least 2-3 parts through the morning, same as lunch. Keeps me satisfied, and less likely to want to cheat because I am not starving! But I am getting bored of the 100-150 Cal snacks that I make for myself.
I prefer to make my own, like Hummus & Taziki, I often bake chickpeas with Salt and Pepper, even bake thin bits of Beets lightly salted.

Looking for some new ideas, something new to try.

Or a thin slice of cheese on an oatcake

    for me:
    boiled egg, almonds, cheese.
  • I love making a layered dip in a small tupperware: fat free refried beans, lett, tom, salsa, fat free sour cream, chives. I also like smoothies made from fat free plain greek yogurt, frozen fruit, and a truvia packet. Also hard boiled eggs! Hope that helps....

The Chickpeas are amazing. I just rinse them off and toss in a little bit of Olive Oil and S&P to taste.

  • Yogurt is a good high protein snack, along with Greek yogurt (my fave).

Today I had half a cup of GO Lean Crunch cereal in the honey almond flax flavor with a little soy milk. That cereal is soooo filling that you only need about half a cup of it plus a little milk (about 120 cal snack if measured out).

Hope some of those sound decent.

1/3 cup eggzactly (egg whites in carton, whatever brand you have) "fried" on cast iron skillet with no stick butter spray, add 1 teaspoon of flax seeds before eggs settle, rolled into 1 slice of ham (1 oz) = 75 calories, 0 fat, 10 grams protein:smile: without flax seed. With flax seeds 91 calories, 1 fat, 1 protein and 1 fiber too:love:

Roasted soya beans (though you have to drink water with them as they're a bit dry and water with pure protein is always better for the liver.

Edamame with sea salt sprinkled on. The pod ones work well for this then you just kinda squeeze them into your mouth and they have a slight saltiness to them. Can kill salty cravings(like chips) pretty quick. A friend served them this way at her 8 year old's birthday party and I had just had the shelled frozen ones as my daughter LOVES them.

I buy roast soy beans in a big bag from Tesco - they're great, a small handful, eaten one at a time lasts for ages!

Wasabi peas are another favourite of mine (you can get wasabi mixed beans too)

    I'm sure most of these have been mentioned, but my snack list is;

    mini cheese
    hard boiled egg
    parma ham
    seafood sticks
rice cakes with dairylea/ laughing cow
    humous
