Someone disagrees that I eat a healthy choice for lunch? I am interested to understand who is spying on me and stalking what I eat for lunch2

I batch cook lunch & dinner every weekend. Lunch is usually chicken breast (prepared different each week), a veggie(broccoli, squash, corn cauliflower or carrots) & a carb (sweet or red potato, brown rice or sometimes cauliflower fried rice).0

Today, as is often the case, last night's dinner left-overs.0

I totally agree. Sometimes it’s just what you want/need.1 -
Leftover sausage veg sheet pan dinner, recipe from MFP blog. Delicious!1
-
I had a burger topped with tomato sauce and mozzarella
My lunch time is my time to unwind a bit from work. I usually go out to eat ... typical fast food/diner type places generally.
Today was Whataburger (not my first choice, but was lunching with my parents), bacon cheeseburger and fries, unsweet tea. 1200cal.
Most of the time I eat within my weight management calories; lunches in the 700-800cal range, not terrible in fat, high protein, so I don't feel bad.0 -
today I ate an entire package of frozen peas that were heated in the microwave first. that was an hour ago. I'm starving and headed to the kitchen to heat up some chicken and rice.
usually lunch is chicken, rice and beans (seasoned variably to eliminate boredom)0 -
Today? Two hard boiled eggs and some grapes. That's kind of a pathetic lunch by my standards, though.
I live in California, and the power outages royally messed up my meal planning this week.
Normally, my lunches Monday through Wednesday or Thursday are just leftovers I boxed up from whatever I made for dinner on the weekend and Monday evening. By Thursday or Friday, I've often run out of leftovers and don't have time to cook, so I'll start making sandwiches + a veggie side dish if I've got ingredients, or something easy from my freezer - like frozen potstickers and broccoli, which I microwave and sprinkle some sesame oil, soy sauce and vinegar on.2 -
Today and most days I had a wrap with arugula Swiss cheese hot peppers.1

My husband works from home and I work about 2 miles away, so it's pretty convenient for me to just pop home most days. We eat a variety of different lunches but some of the most common would be these...
veggie burger on toast with pickles, onion, lettuce, etc. and baked sweet potato fries
egg salad (or tofu salad) sandwiches and broccoli slaw
taco salad
crab salad with Thai chili sauce & tons of veggies
lentils, string cheese & fruit smoothie
split peas cooked with carrots & onions and a scoop of cottage cheese
English muffin pizzas w/ mushrooms & peppers & side salads
tuna melt panini & a peach or pear1 -
Love Thai curry (all of them) so try to eat it once per week/two. If not I usually have some rice with chicken or just a salad with chicken and some salad toppers (recently discovered in sainsbury, delicious and healthy salad topper)0

Lunch is my biggest meal, even when I was dieting I used to eat around 600-800 calories for lunch, and now that I'm maintaining I eat more. Basically, lunch is when I have whatever tickles my fancy that day. Usually some kind of homecooked grain and vegetable dish with some kind of sauce and occasionally dessert. If I order in, it's usually for lunch. It doesn't happen often, but yesterday was pizza with lots of fast food sides.0

Pork steak marinated in paprika and mustard with smoked bacon. It's a long time favorite that always sets things right

ALWAYS do my meal prep on Sunday while watching football. 99% of the time it's a baked chicken thigh (boneless skinless) that I've marinaded beforehand. Now that it's squash season I'm addicted to parmesan spaghetti squash so I load up on that!!! Throw in a few roasted brussel sprouts for color too Now I'm hungry!!!1

This week I had/am having tuna with mayo on ritz crisp and thins crackers. If I am still hungry I have apples and single serve JIF to go. If i'm STILL hungry I have bananas.1
-
I just bought a packet of frozen Gyozas as they looked pretty low in calories. Thought they'd be good for either lunch or a snack with a little soy sauce.0
-
Today I’m having baked sweet potato (200g) with a tuna-mayo-sweetcorn mix and a side of tomato, cucumber, bell pepper and red onion0
-
weekdays I have a salad. This is mostly due to having a fridge at work but nowhere to heat up food. Luckily I like salad.0

Yesterday's breakfast and lunch. Pan seared NY Strip, finished off in Air fryer to medium rare. and a salad

For warm weather: A random mix of greens to made the salad base, top off with pan seared chicken, a sharp cheese, hemp seeds, and a vinegar dressing.
For cooler weather: A stew of vegetables(Tomato/Onion base with peas or cauliflower..etc) and protein(chicken or ground beef) paired with a grain(bulgur, jasmine. quinoa).1 -
My favorite! Romaine with a few chopped walnuts and craisins and 2 oz grilled chicken with lite Italian Olive Garden dressing. 150 calories! I do like to add feta sometimes too.2 -
‘Skinny’ Chicken Parm.
Grilled chicken breast topped with tomato sauce and fat-free mozzarella.1 -
Quinoa cooked with chicken broth instead of water, with added red peppers and green onions mixed in. Super yummy and I meal prep it into Tupperware so I grab and go from the fridge to work.2

What are your suggestions for finding good meal ideas for a 1200 a day diet?0

Today I had a toasted English muffin with ham, egg, and swiss (398 cal) and a scoop of protein powder blended with frozen mixed fruit (200 cal).0
-
A simple protein shake is my go-to. Anything more than that seems to tire me out. Occasionally a small salad with tuna, or a soup will tie me over if my body is asking for something.1
-
Just made a big pan of green lentil, tomato and veg soup (wity paprika and chilli) which I’ll match with rice crackers and humous or toast and a boiled egg. Soup season is well underway in my house.0

made this for lunch today. Spicy Turkey Chili....403 calories per serving, 35 g protein. Yes, it's in an ice bath before I put it in fridge. Delicious!

@nighthawk584 great idea with the ice bath.. makes that cooling down so much quicker! And that chili looks yummy!1
