I’m a 20 year old female. I am 5’10 and weigh 11 stone 7 pounds. I’m about a size 12 but want to be a size 10. Am I overweight and how much would I need to lose to be a healthy weight and size 10? Many thanks for your help.

It's hard to say based off of the information you've given. Mostly because each person's body shape is different and where they store fat is different. I'd recommend trying to calculate body fat % and to set a goal in a healthy body fat range.1

Using the BMI calculator you are not overweight. At your height, normal weight range is 130-174, so you are well within the normal range.6

(OP weighs about 161 pounds.)
You’re within your optimal BMI range, so I would ask myself why I wanted to be a certain size. How is your life going to be different if your pants say size 10 instead of size 12? Clothes sizes don’t really mean anything, and they even vary between brands.
Instead of focusing on your clothing size, I would focus on your health and happiness. Are you happy with your appearance, and does your doctor think you’re at a healthy weight? If your doctor tells you that your weight is fine but you are not happy with your appearance, then I would suggest recomp instead of weight loss.7 -
Go to a different shop and you'll probably find you're a size 10. Problem solved without doing anything.
Seriously, as everyone else has said, you're a normal weight. Consider trying to tone up rather than lose weight.3
