Congrats on your progress thus far but "eat lean cuisine meals" is not necessary (I personally don't consider it even desirable, I mean...no). Best of luck to you!3

Given a choice between Lean Cuisine and gnawing on forest bugs, I'd need some time to think about it, but other than that, congrats!2

My husband once told me something very wise when something wasn’t going the way I wanted.
“It’s better than it was before”, and I always try to remember that. @jimsessions8 if it’s an improvement, take it with that grace, since it’s working for you, and build upon it from there.7 -
Thanks for your comments.0

Good for you on better health results. Frozen entrees aren't for everyone, but I used them for quite some time as my own 'Jenny Craig' style diet plan for a while, along with fresh fruits and veggies. Once I got a better handle on my eating, I eventually switched to cooking most of my own 'healthy' meals. But I always keep a few frozen entrees around for emergencies. Best to you on your health journey!6 -

I've started bringing Lean Cuisines to work, they're easy and are actually more tasty than I expected. I don't have/make the time to meal prep, so they work great. Much better than the Special K protein bar I used to have for lunch every day.
Good luck!!4 -

Ignore people who are badmouthing lean cuisine. If, for now, it is your easiest path forward then do it. One of my friends was able to lose all of his weight with SlimFast and maintain that loss for 3 years and running still using SF off and on when his weight goes up slightly. To him it has been simple and easy. I tried it a few times years ago and couldn't make it work.
I would advise having another plan lined up for yourself just in case you grow tired of eating LC. It is better to have your plan centered around a calorie deficit than centered around a specific meal plan.

I'm not a Lean Cuisine fan, but I'm totally in love with the Jimmy Dean english muffins as a quick and easy lunch grab & go item!3

congrats to you, keep it up... While I have nothing against lean cuisine dinners, it takes around 4 of those suckers to fill me up!1 -

Congratulations on your progress! I'm especially excited to hear about your blood pressure and blood sugar going down! That's so wonderful. It's great to see payoff!1

Jim: two weeks ago you were at 270. Today you're at 265. This is excellent progress.
And quite fast.
Your goal is not only to get but to stay and maintain at 230 (or lower) as the case may be and depending on how tall and powerfully built you are.
The deficit and loss you're creating is already getting you there.
There is nothing wrong with experimenting with different foods.
For example I definitely consume frozen, canned, or vac packed ready to eat meals (while not lean cuisine, I guess mine are similar in concept: ready made means that I find to be relatively filling for their calories) that i unually suplement with large quantities of fresh or frozen vegetables and/or salad.
And your plan to modify the types and quantity of dessert and breads that you eat sounds good, as long as you're substituting them for other items that you may find to be better caloric bargains.
But keep in mind that you probably don't need to make things harder on yourself by trying to lose even faster given the success you're already experiencing.
Try to do things and make choices that you see yourself making over the next three to five years. Because it is a good idea to lose the weight by making similar choices to the ones you will be be making when maintaining in the future!

Great job! I’m thinking of trying a pre-packaged dinner type thing because even though I cook very healthy I’m also a pretty great cook (😉)and too much healthy food is still too much food! Lol1

Lean cuisines! I have always stayed away from them as they seem to be VERY high in sodium. I would probably try other alternatives instead. But great 👍🏻 job on your health progress. That’s the most important part.2

How odd the fixation by several responders on just the Lean Cuisine part of one sentence and ignoring the "and more veggies and whole fruits" part.
Well done on the progress you have made as regards your health markers and weight Jim.7 -

I was quickly dissatisfied with the cost and the plastic packaging of pre-packed meals.
Here's what I do now: Got an electric pressure cooker to make meal prep FAST, and using a food scale, pack a bunch of 16oz wide mouth glass mason jar with a meal, date it, put the calorie count on the label and toss it in the freezer. Voila - I've just replaced Lean cuisine and it's lookalikes for about 1/4 of the cost, and, with a nicer carbon footprint.3 -
Congrats on losing 10lbs thus far. I am also using lean cuisine for lunch during the week. Best of luck on your weight loss journey.1
