With Thanksgiving a week away, if you purchase a frozen turkey, how do you defrost it?
I was reading about defrosting it in a cooler, frees up space in the refrigerator.
Anyone tried this?

  I place it in a 5 gallon bucket of water and replace the water regularly.

  I use the fridge, just to be safe. I suppose the cooler method would be ok as long as you monitor the temp of the cooler.

  Fridge...but I usually don't buy frozen.
