Keep healthy snacks handy, such as nuts and seeds because they're healthy and filling!

If you're only getting to the store once a month you probably aren't able to have many fresh fruits and vegetables on hand, so you'll need to make do with frozen. The best way to do that is to buy fresh produce, especially when it's on sale, and then cut it up and freeze it yourself. I cut it up, lay it out on a parchment (or waxed paper) lined cookie sheet so that the pieces freeze individually. You can put the fruits into smoothies and you can thaw veggies to steam, sautee or bake.
  • I eat a lot of canned soup, cereal, oatmeal, sutff like that. Not too exciting, but healthy and cheap! lol

I'll admit that a lot of what is in my cabinet is pasta.. But I buy the whole wheat pastas and I stick to the serving sizes. :)

i have been eating alot of canned food, frozen dinners, and oatmeal too, i love the frozen fruit idea, i been avoiding buying fruit purely because they go bad fast.
