This is when I’m grateful for learning how to lose weight on my own without having to be dependent on anything. I wonder what everyone’s back plan is.

I always have cauliflower something in my search results for ... anything. Nobody likes cauliflower that much. I think it’s punishment because I tried a cauliflower pizza crust once like 6 years ago. Some mistakes haunt you forever.
I’m not sure what a crispy shrimp pop is but it sure sounds better than cauliflower.1 -

I mostly use it to get accurate carb counts for me to bolus insulin with. And even with user-generated data, it's still *easier* than googling every single website and completely literally putting myself in danger by completely guessing.
Not all of us are here because we don't know how to lose weight.1 -

I found your comment very appropriate and I disagree with the person that gave you a "disagree." We all need to be prepared for unwanted situations, and this one seems to be one of them.
I understand that it may be more difficult for the newest members, but it is a good exercise to start using your own wits. MFP is a only a tool, let's don't make it a strong necessity or a handicap.
I know that I will get many disagrees with this posting. So go ahead! By the way, I just noticed that the spelling function is not working correctly either, at least in the web version. Check it out.5 -
I requested for a CVS about 35 hours and got it now😒1

All alomg the watchtower.
I got a squiggly red line under that. (alomg)
That would be a browser problem, not the website.3 -

I am using chrome and I don't have a problem with other websites, only MFP. Whatever it is I hope that it gets resolved soon. Thanks.0 -
Using safari on laptop and app on iPhone no access to profile or homepage. Can’t post status updates (could briefly see/post last night). Community forums and diary are available. At least the weeks old notifications stopped! But still no new notifications! As a premium user expect better support!1

My feed is broken too. MFP seems to think I need more friends (I really don't - although it would be nice if I could see what they wrote). At least the diary and its database are still working (I've possibly cursed it now by saying that though). That's why I'm really here so as long as that works...0

There are, um, several on this thread who don't know very much about how web sites, apps, and client-side software (like browsers) work. That's all cool, because not everyone needs to know that stuff, but it's good to realize what you don't know.
Oversimplifying, you can get an accurate "internet problem" kind of message when there's no problem with your device (phone, computer) communicating with the initial internet-facing computer that's going to broker your request, if it is unable to communicate with one of its computer buddies from whom it needs info or services in order to do the job. (The messages in this kind of scenario often tend to be suboptimally useful to end users, for some kind of logical reasons, however annoying that is).
Also, I believe the forums use 3rd-party forum software (i.e., the MFP folks didn't write it from scratch), in this case I think it's something called Vanilla. (https://vanillaforums.com/en/). That means that the forum software can be upgraded (with maybe something like badges) but it's not the MFP tech staff doing the majority of the work (maybe some integration tasks for the new version - a version which might be needful for reasons other than the badges, like bug fixes).
Yes, there is bugginess. In all software, bugs are gonna happen. How many and how often, and of what type, can be as much or more an outcome of management (of the technology infrastructure or the overall company) as it is of the software specialists' competence. Consider giving the techies the benefit of the doubt.
In industry-wide terms (i.e. not picking on MFP), it's dead common for management to force not-ready software into production for some perceived PR/marketing reason, or because they feel like the techies have had enough time and are foot-dragging (perhaps vs. a due date someone made up months ago with limited information to base it on), or to inadequately fund hardware infrastructure in ways that show up as if they were software bugs, or to be unwilling to pay for adequate staff size, and more.
As someone who worked in a tech environment for a few decades (not immediately recent), I have opinions about the overall effectiveness of this particular hardware/software environment, attributeable to any/all sources of possible good or ick, but I'm not very inclined to share them here.
Again, not speaking of MFP here, but the industry generically, complaining to the management tends (in poorly managed companies) to result in more metaphorical beatings for possibly innocent and already beleaguered techies (because the management can't possibly be part of the problem ), not to mention taking up more of the techies time to explain things to their management (defend themselves).
Generically again, complaining to or about the techies just makes them feel even more beleaguered, and takes up their time as well. In that subset of cases where the software/hardware folks really aren't all that great at their jobs, complaining to/about them changes that exactly zero. Well, they might get fired or quit, which just means you'll get new and inexperienced techies to interact with. That usually ticks off end-user-type customers, too.
The best thing to do, when you have a problem, is to read the sites' announcements and posts about known problems, and (if the software allows) track those if they match your symptoms. If there's nothing there, put in a trouble ticket through designated channels, and keep an eye on it (and the public announcements). In many cases, it's OK to put in a ticket referencing a known problem, but it's always polite and helpful to point out that you think it's the same symptoms as reported problem X, if you realize that.
Venting about it feels good, but I think venting in the forum might be problematic wrt guidelines. Not sure, because I avoid doing it. There are bigger things to be upset about, in my life. YMMV.4 -
My calorie adjustment is waaaaay off. Had over 7000 steps so far (plus an hour and a half of weightlifting and a 10 minute elliptical warm up—6000 steps w/o elliptical), set at sedentary, and had a negative calorie adjustment of 47 calories. Umm, WTF?!?!!!1

Some of my adjustments are looking like that too. It's really blown out my week view. XD0 -

Pretentious little hors d'oeuvre thing. Chopped/formed shrimp circle on a stick, to look like a lollipop.
It was a particular store brand of shrimp pop that kept appearing. I was in their seafood section the other day and they seem to have discontinued the crispy shrimp pops.2 -

They also look much better than cauliflower. But I bet if I look on Pinterest long enough, someone has a recipe to recreate them out of cauliflower and they taste “exactly the same” and “you can’t tell the difference”
