Struggle: Still struggling with logging every day. Also I want to eat the holiday treats. It has been hard this year. I think not seeing a weight gain is not helping. It will happen if I don't watch it.

Success of the week: Well cover me in chocolate and dip me in ants; my average weight actually went down a tiny bit this week. I'm not sure how that happened because I had a really BIG day and a bunch of days that have been higher than I like. The December trend is actually really flat, and my current weight is still pretty much dead in the middle of my maintenance range. I will continue to push for a little lower in the range, and at the same time I need to say "nice work" for being in maintenance for 18 months.

Looked at all my data. It’s all as it’s been for months. Confusing & scary. But my stomach is bloated & im rarely hungry. Used to be smaller & I would be genuinely hungry at each meal.
Possibilities:
1. Burning fewer calories. Data doesn’t indicate this but perhaps with the heat in, dressing more warmly??
2. I’m sleeping more. Lower NEAT but data doesn’t show that.
3. Eating more calories: yes, some, but not enough to account for this wt increase
4. **** Different composition of calories: total sugars are the same, but more refined sugars, fewer fruits/veg (& less fiber)
Much more cholesterol & sat fat this month.
Daily calories up 50 /day this month.
My Plan:
Cut out all refined sugar again.
Increase fruits/veg servings =or > 5
Keep sat fat under 19g
Regardless, I’ve kept my average weights between 152 and 157 from Nov 2018 thru Nov 2019
That’s the longest I’ve ever maintained ever! I’m really working to keep this perspective❣️

Keeping a positive attitude as I try to figure out a solution.
I definitely felt a shift in metabolism and my mood 2-3 months ago. About the time of the medication increase. That was also when I began to eat more sat fat & cholesterol.
I will figure this out.
I’d love suggestions ... things to look at.
I lost 75 lbs eating an avg of 2070 cals & walking.

Your maintenance range is TINY. It's amazing how well you have done. What would it feel like to expand that from two to maybe five pounds? That's double your range now, but it's only +/- 2.5 pounds. It would be like +/- 3% of your body weight. You still might have some struggles/challenges. Like the rest of us1 -

I am considering changing my maintenance range to 153-158
159 is definitely too high. LoL
Between 153 & 158, all that changes is my waist & above belly button. I’m happiest at 153.
If I look at my monthly average weights since reaching 155, they have been between 152 and as of today 158, so perhaps that makes sense.
I looked back. I tend to gain in July & not lose until the weather cools in Sept. last December I lost because no social, no trips, no family gatherings. I decided not to miss out this Dec.
The trick now is to get back to 155 ASAP.
Ok I’m going to shift my maintenance range Jan 1.
153-157 or 152-158 or 155-157
I’m deathly afraid of a runaway train which is why I kept it under 155.4 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: At the top of my range for the past couple of weeks, which isn't too bad considering it was a planned surplus week with being away and Christmas (with one day being an estimated 3100 calories!). I got in lots of steps (over 110k for the week of Dec 21 and a few thousand less than that for the week of Dec 28) and kept up with my workouts. This coming week will continue with another surplus week for New Year's.4 -

Successes: I made it through Christmas week logging accurately and never going over maintenance, most days much lower. After the food fest I had on vacation the previous week I'd say that is a success.
Struggles: Been thinking this week about what is next for 2020. I've decided my weight related goals are to consistently weigh in every Sunday and log my weight. My weight goal for 2020 is to never go over 153. I have never actually been able to do this for a full year, so let's see how that goes!

Successes: Had my first 5 day run week since switching positions to a four 10 hour shift week. Might be able to make this work!
Struggles: That holiday splurge definitely showing up on my trend line. But I have a feeling we're going to be headed in the other direction here this week. Also I think running on an extra full stomach was doing terrible stuff for my heart rate level I train at.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My weight went up to 116.4 with the trend going up to 114.6, but it was down a bit this morning. And overall it is staying relatively flat. I had a really good Christmas and ate all the foods I wanted. But I still got in a nice amount of activity with some good runs this week so everything seems to be balancing out. I think I will end December with a slightly higher average weight than the last couple of months, but since I am still a little below my range I think that it good.4 -

Successes/struggles: Had a really good Christmas Day. We spent the day at my daughter’s – I took my mum, and my son and his family were there so we had a four-generation get together, nobody fell out, the children were excited and happy. My daughter’s children went off to their dad’s after lunch so that reduced the noise level and lessened the risk of fighting! We had all the food and treats we wanted without going over the top. And, of course, I didn’t have a fridge full of leftovers to use up!
We had some good news early in the week – my son had a repeat MRI on Monday and on Tuesday (Xmas Eve) he was told that the tumour is responding well to the chemo so we went into Christmas on a higher note than we had feared.
Looking back over the month my weight has hovered around 48.5 kg (107 lb) all month which is good. Under 48 is too low for me – too skinny – but I’m still wary of going over 49 although I know that 49 to 50 is probably my ideal weight. I’m struggling with the idea of gaining weight, even just a couple of pounds.

End of the year indulgences while visiting family were relatively modest, and I was able to get in a bit more exercise than I thought I'd be able to do. I'm happy to be starting the new year on a good note - and not having to worry about buckling down and losing holiday gains is a plus.3
