What do you do the week before "that time" to help with the cravings and wanting to eat everything in site? It is deff to late for me this time to make adjustments but I would like ideas/thoughts/tips for next month so I dont feel like I gain 10lbs in a week like I do this week! Thanks for the tips!

Nothing the week before, but to satisfy that chocolate craving ... Diet hot chocolate (2 packets) with light cool whip... fiber one brownies ... 1 Ghirardelli square (70 calories) ...0

I always eat a bit too much. I try to stay away from salty foods, so that at least I don't add more water retention than I already get. I've also discovered that I like hot cocoa for my chocolate cravings. I have a cup at night, after dinner, and sip it slowly.0

me, nothing....cause I'm so lucky not to have TOM........0
-
I too have those cravings and I give in to them sometimes. I just don't over indulge with it.0

I don't. I had a tubal ligation and then I had a procedure that burned/froze my ovaries, so no worries here ever again.0

my snackie foods are things like 5 or 10 calorie sugar free jello packs.... chocolate is 50 or 60 calorie sugar free pudding. I eat more snack like than meal like so i feel like I'm constantly eating which is what I want to do during TOM...
for instance... breakfast I have Thomas nooks and crannies english muffin with I can't believe its not butter spray
then in a little bit i'll eat a banana
then in a little bit i'll eat a some jello
then in a little bit i'll eat a sandwich for lunch
then i'll eat my chips
then i'll eat my pudding or another fruit
then i'll eat whatever for dinner (chicken and whatever side or whatever I'm eating)
then i'll eat another piece of fruit or another jello or pudding
eat lightly but constantly eat is how I work during my TOM... Also another trick that has helped me is I can't drink straight water during my TOM, don't know why - just can't however water is very filling.... So get you some crystal light or something in whatever flavor you like and put it in it.... its 5-10 calories per 8oz so its not much at all! This encourages me to drink and also gives me the hand to mouth fix

That does sound pretty good...I dont really crave chocolate just junk food...chips and dips, pizza, or anything else I dont normally eat...giving into 1 craving wont kill me but I gave into all of them this month and I am so upset with myself and just need to find away to not get the bad food and stay with my good for me yet satisfying snack food!0 -

My problem this time was I gave in to ALL Cravings! I just couldnt stop! Today I eat my healthy foods only! I win not the cravings!0 -
I find that if I try my hardest to eat raw/un-processed foods as much as possible, especially before that TOTM, then I don't get those crazy cravings. I've also been freezing cut up bananas and dipping the chucks in peanut butter. It kinda reminds me of ice-cream. :happy:0

Cravings. I just spare some extra calories for the day for a chocolate craving or whatever it is I am craving. Fit it into your count.0

I have found catching rabbits with my teeth helps me stave off cravings. *Bonus* I can count it as exercise.0

That tip is going at the top of my list!
You are so smart0 -

Plus rabbit meat only has about 60% of the calories that beef has - so it is the lower calorie option.0 -

I'm on a raw diet, so I eat the rabbit raw, is there any benefit to that?0 -

so have you tried the special k cracker chips? They are with the crackers at the grocery store... I like them... mix between a rice cake and a chip... I think they are good. They have salt and sour cream and onion... a serving is 27 chips!!! and its only like 120 calories or something...
I'm not a pizza fan however my husband brought me home this one night I thought it was to die for... 1/3 of the pizza is 350 calories which is a very generous portion. http://www.amys.com/products/product-detail/details/0001930 -

Well they've never made my dog sick, so I would say go for it! But definitely buy some hairball remedy if you don't skin it.0 -
Just remeber: so you gave into your cravings, now hit the gym, put it in the past.
Now you have a game plan for next month:) I'm the same way, the week before my TOM it's like everything i eat is chinese food and i'm starving an hour later, so I up my protein and fiber, drink tons of water and keep all the junk out of the house. My house is so devoid of snack foods people probably think i'm crazy:happy:
also I try to have things to do that can take my mind off of my craving, like doing something with my hands (crafting, coloring with my son). I find if my hands are to busy to stuff my face it's easier for me to handle.
Good luck0 -

Does the hairball removal stuff count as clean? I'm doing a raw/clean thing...I don't want to mess it up because of hairball remover...but I heard that skining the rabbit removed some of the nutrition so I don't...0 -
I am not allowed to have food when I am in the red tent - but I do sneak out to catch catfish with my bare hands when the men folk aren't around.

Basically I resist for as long as possible (about 3 days) trying to eat alternatives, and then I say *kitten* it and give in and binge. I log the binge, I only do it on a workout day, I move on. Every month I know it's coming and I accept this about myself, because I have my f*cking period so I do what I want.0

Keep A LOT of fruit in your house! And Special K cracker chips! That way, when you want to eat everything in sight, everything in sight is healthy!0
-
I try to not give in, but come on, those cravings are horrible. I do eat small amounts of chocolate, like a hershey kiss or a dark chocolate square. I get both salty and chocolate cravings. Eating the wheat thin reduced fat help with that.
Good Luck.... Oh the joys of being woman!
